    Frame Differences ?

    Ask Martin Matthews -Motoswm.com
  17. It was 1985 the N model which first had disc brakes, the 84 was the twin drum brake. The 85/86 set-up is much sort after, with the Pre 85 Evo series lots of people looking for them. Not a cheap route, last good set sold for over £300 ( wheel, caliper, disc, master cyinder and spindle ) and you can add over £100 more for the fork legs.
  18. What a great day on Saturday, when Bath Classic MC Club ran their trials school day with Mick Andrews. A very good day and I can't thank Mick enough for taking time out to help my young son, one to one, it made his and my day. Looking forward to your next trial and hope you do get another practice day sorted.
  19. Does not sound a good buy. Standard bike was too low for todays LDT. You need 18'' and 21'' wheels to get tyres worth using and waste of time using early type engine. Go for late, points on the side engine which have different main bearings. Not sure about the frame, once cut, not easy to put back and what else has been changed. Best bet is to buy a B40 trials bike with WR gearbox. Will be cheaper in the end and fit for your use. Great fun on a correct bike a pain in the ... with the wrong one.

    The Magicals?

Rang him a few weeks back for a set of spring - they came the following day. Pick up the phone, it's the best way.
