  1. just had another look at it and the breather from the crankcase has a suck and blow effect coming from the pipe. block the pipe and bike runs ok ,just have to turn the tickover up a bit, connect pipe back to carb and straight away runs like on choke.
  2. any ideas on how the scavenge pipe from the crank case is suposed to work? runs great disconnected with a little air escaping from crankcase breather, connect it to carb and the bike runs as if the choke is on. conection to carb is clear. is it building up pressure in the carb? should the pipe have air puffing out of the crankcase breather cheers guys for any info
  3. is the front sprocket suposed to be large spline plain or large spline bossed ? any idea?
  4. what size sprockets should i be running?
  5. my understanding of it is that the change to no stop only applys to adult british championship ,all other events are up to centre /club as to what rules they want to run to so in this case i would not blame the importers
  6. what needs to change are the sections , from what i see of it it is all big step after big step, . as for having no minders, will this mean that the non champs class will now be full of ex minders following there riders round?
  7. i have previously been in favor of stop allowed rules , but in the last few years have been finding it very boring to watch , especially when there is no time limit on the section. time to give no stop rules a good go. no minders is a good move, can only hear "big legs " etc so many times its now boring. finaly practice lap day before , that should have gone as well
  8. there is no rubber as such fitted to the swing arm as on most trials bikes, the chain runs through the usual [for a montesa] chain tubes
  9. need to give my rotax crankcases a tidy up , whats the best option on primers ,paints etc
  10. 09 evo had smaller wheelbearings fitted , and for the 2010 model they changed to a larger 60042rs bearing in common with most trials bikes. as for best quality i tend to use skf bearings and they last for close on 10 months with bike being used nearly every weekend. i also think that as i dont have a pressure washer helps.

what are the diferances between the gold and silver ohlins that are available [apart from colour]
  15. i thought the idea of going back to no stop rules was to make the sections easier, but with riders still stopping and hopping to gain position in the sections maybe they are too hard. if the observers were to mark more strictly the sections could be made slightly easier. its the same with stop permitted trials where rolling back whilst hopping tends to go unpenalised.
  16. b40rt i agree with you ,this no stop stuffs confusing
  17. "It has been bought up in another thread that some of the observing at the recent Stratford-Upon-Avon clubs Colmore cup was questionable" pete regarding your quote above , i dont think that any one is or was questioning the observing at sundays colmore ,its just that no stop rules seem to be open to many variables and opinions as to did or didnt they stop/ pause
  18. re; alex wigg stopping allowed video, what was that 5 or clean ? thought it was 5 for rolling back
  19. jam what was the break down of riders abilitys that had entered , mainly experts/ inters 0r clubman /040 hard or easy route
  20. anyone seen full resullts from yesterdays youth national???
  21. have used irc for the past 7 years or so with no problems , but since using them on my sons 09 evo and now 2010 evo have had problems with them suddenly going flat during a trial for no apparent reason. have never had the same problem on the same bikes when using a michelin
  22. any one know the correct torque for the swing arm bolt ?[ about 18mm diameter aluminium] cheers guys
  23. cheers for that paul, will give them a call
  24. hi paul bike looks spot on to me , really like the tank unit, makes the bike look a lot lighter, what carb have you used ? looks like a dellorto from the pics , any chance of letting us know what model /size /jetting etc
  25. no problems removing lights from evo just unplugs , not the same as a rev 3 where ,if i remember correctly you had to join the yellow wires together. as for kill button , just connect in to existing kill switch wires. [ behind cover on side of tank on a 09 or by bar mounts on a 2010] cut off existing plug from cable and join up to your new killswitch.
