  1. baldilocks you are correct gasser wheel fits straight in. tried the wheel in today using gas gas spacers, it fitted great, took measurements for wheel offset/disc/sprocket etc and compared to sherco wheel, all measurements within 1mm.
  2. cheers for the reply guys, baldilocks did you use the sherco or gasser spacers?
  3. hi guys , does any one know if a 06 gasser rear wheel will fit a 07 sherco? have been offered one as a spare but just want to know if it will fit straight in or will i need some machining done. anyone tried to fit one?
  4. has anyone tried no toil filter oil? is it as good as regular filter oil eg putoline ? if anyone has tried it let us know how it performed and was it easy to clean out of the filter. cheers

    Reeds

has anyone tried any differant reeds eg, aktive ,boysen or v force reed block. what results have you had ? any better than standard? very interested in feedback on the v force reed block.
  6. what a fantastic bike, would love one myself. i often look on spanish web sites at the trials bikes for sale, and have seen some nice bikes there but have never taken it any further. did you have the bike shipped over? if so was it a lot of hassle as this is the major stumbling block in buying from spain.
  7. can some one comfirm class for next year. born april 1995. i work it out to be C class therefore limited to 80cc. will this apply to all trials from nationals to club trials?
  8. had a great day at the trial on sunday, excellent sections and all well thought out. thanks to you guys for keeping my dad well entertained through out the trial while he observed section 1.
  9. should have added at the start of this topic that he is coming off a gas gas 125 pro down to an 80 due to his age and the acu rules.
  10. got to buy an 80 for next year, so what do you guys consider to be the best of the bunch?
  11. had a good day out yesterday at your trial, well marked out ,the new marker system made the sections much eaiser to work out considering there were 4 routes. regarding the severity of the sections on the c+d routes i can give you my 2 lads views on them as one rode in each class. on c route he thought it was probably a bit on the easy side, though he agrees its just as hard with the sections being easy to keep it together for the full 40 sections with out making silly mistakes. d route was ok for older lads on full size bikes, but for the younger lads just starting out on small wheels they were just that bit too tough. he thought sections 3and 6 were fine and had a go at most of the others but found them too tough. thanks again for a good days sport
  12. found a photo of me and garelli in action
  13. havent seen one of these for years, fantastic bikes to ride,i had one from new. as you have found out the kickstart gears are a bit fragile, this was a constant problem with mine and the reason i sold it in the end. wish i still had it now though.
  14. a lot depends on the size of the lad, sherco 50 is ideal if hes on the small side.my lad aged 7 has had one for a while and its a great bike to get started with, easy to control and plenty of power for easy and conducted route trials. brakes may be not up to the gassers disc standard, but ok. tyres may look a bit of a handicap, but he will find them sufficient for the trials he will be starting out in. all in all we have found the sherco to be very reliable standing up to trials and field use no problem.

    Build Quality

on our 4th gasser owned, only ever had minor problems that could affect any bike,eg wheel bearings ,themostat switch.i think that gassers do probably require a bit more maintainance between events than some other brands do, but well worth the trouble for the way they handle and perform.would not recommend a gas gas if you want to ride it then dump it in the shed for the week and drag it out for the next event. if you want to do this i would recommend a jap engined bike.

    Gas Gas

dont bother, with trying epoxy repairs as they wont last long.a few months at best.take your tank to any local metal fabricators and they should be able to repair it no problem. will cost you around
  17. we used 9t gearbox and 46t rear on 03 pro and currently using 9t / 48t on 06
  18. went for the 125 gas gas in the end, runs great and seems smoother than our old one.top choice for 125
  19. beleive these were made by mick chapman in evesham,do a search on yell.com for chapman tyrrell racing in evesham, and i think you will find mick chapman.
  20. cant make our minds up which to buy 06 125 gasser or sherco.currently have a gasser, how do you guys think they compare?. a few questions; is the sherco physicaly much bigger? does the sherco have less steering lock ? cheers guys
  21. best bet is to get it welded if possible ,otherwise repair with araldite or similar every few months. a new tank is about
