Mapping Switching
Im sorry cant help you with that. Im not familliar with the system. I can however translate if necessary. http://montesa4rt.nl/image/modificatie/map_switch/schema_mapswitch-2.gif If you check this picture, the led will only work when the switch is on, and the ''cables'' are connected. Otherwise the led would not get power. So if you connected them correctly the switching part should work. However I dont know if there is a way to check the result. Apparantly the maps are activated by an on/off switch. Not connecting the 2 wires is mode one, connecting is map 2. Led of is mode 1, led on is mode 2. So if the led switches on and off it should work imo.

Fighting The Winter Boredom: Tr280I With Studded Tyres?
I can imagine that the rubber is too soft to hold them correctly. But ice is strange stuf. Scooters on ice also melt their belt, thats why they are called snowmobiles and not ice mobiles I guess

A Question About Building A Section
And I see a yellow band around the yellow concrete stuff. But they probably weight ALOT.

A Question About Building A Section
Not a video, but usually the stuff is pretty heavy. We use a lot of wood here, from old train tracks. That together with poles (as used for fences) makes a good base. Big rocks and stones stay where they are almost by themselfs, a bit of sand and they dont go anywhere. Big concrete pipes are also blocked with sand.

Gasgas Clutch Problems
Make sure there is enough free play on the leaver and be patient. Sometimes it takes a while. Best is to fill it from the bottom with a syringe, or use a vacuum system (if you have).

Gasgas Clutch Problems
Sounds like there is air in the system.

Gasgas Clutch Problems
Standard procedure to check the clutch of a gg Make sure the lever has some free play (arround 3mm will do fine) Make sure it has fluids Lay bike on its side, remove kickstarter and open up the clutch cover. Make sure the clutch is in specs and everything is mounted as supposed to. Take the clutch out and clean it up.

Dakar
The 125cc guy made it to the end, great job well done. http://www.adventurebikerider.com/forum/23-bikes/476936-2-stroke-husqvarna-125-rally-in-this-years-2016-dakar.html#480887 Laia sanz broke her collar bone but still kept on driving! Also much respect for truck 528. Japanese rider is over 70, and already a rider since the eighties http://www.dakar.com/dakar/2016/us/rider/528.html

Dakar
No spoilers but just some stories. Dutch quad rider Kees Koolen (founder booking.com) got stuck in the sand with broken gearbox. He got an helicopter pilot to get him out However it did not end well.

Transporting Bike In A Car
The newest generation diesels are economical, low on sound, quit quick etc. As far as comfort, I like the sit in the van I use more than the seats in many ''normal'' cars. I use a new Ford connect, which is great, the old ones where not bad but I really like the new model.

Dakar
Well KTM has a lot of rides for 1 thing, one drops out, the next will take over. In the dakar you will have troubles, the one with the least problems wins (ok, you need speed, and navigation aswell but there are enough riders with potential). The trick is to go fast, but not too fast. Honda has some riders that are too fast imo.

250 Vs 300 For A Noob?
I think sometimes the 300 gets a bit overrated on power. It has more, but its not like if you slighty use the throttle you will get shot away. It might even be a little bit more manageable power compared to a 280 e.g. But I think a 250 is more than good enough, so that will do perfectly fine. Important skills to learn are throttle and mainly clutch control so just practise that a lot.
