Monty 315 Spray Job
Be sure to air the tank for a few days too to ensure that any residual petrol fumes are gone. Petrol fumes leach through the plastic and if there is still remnants then it will ruin the paint on application almost. Also allow the paint to dry for a number of days before you fill it again.

Bvm Stroud
It is far too common a problem, not just in the UK but worldwide I think. I know many shops shut their doors in the USA since 2008, and here in Victoria, Australia we lost 11 shops in just 12 months in 2012. More continue to shut down, however it looks as though the market has settled a little this last year. Sad for the employees who obviously (from the comments) poured their hearts and souls into servicing the industry, and always sad for the owners I am sure. No good at all.

Strange Noise On Kick!?!?
Mate I have no idea what it came out of, I just borrowed a picture off the net to help illustrate what I was saying in the previous post.

- End Of The 2 Stroke?
Husqvarna released the WR300 models into Australia with Catalytic Converters in the chambers, the first thing we did at pre delivery was to get rid of them and put an open chamber on them. We never even tried to run them in the Euro3 mode as they probably wouldn't be rideable. 2 Stroke fuel injection will move forward and I think that it will become viable financially, it will just take time.- Strange Noise On Kick!?!?
A picture of a ratchet type kickstart gear. If you look closely you can see the ramped teeth at the base of a gear which allows the two sections to slide past eachother when turned in one direction then lock in when turned the other.- Strange Noise On Kick!?!?
I would suggest, as others have, that there is maybe a slight amount of wear on the engaging gears, so when they don't lock in 100% or it lands on the damaged/worn gear, you go to kick and you hear a crack as it jumps to the next gear. Not too big a deal just try to ensure you take the bike to top dead before you give it the big kick, this may help to get the gear to engage properly, and may also help the starting process.- 4Rt - Fatbars Or Braced Bars?
You could always go the best of both worlds and get Renthals Twin Walls. They are a fatbar with a cross brace. Good bend and a VERY strong bar.- What Gear?
Throttle freeplay is an interesting one, and many mechanics have varying ideas of where it should be. I generally run all my bikes, from road to trials at the absolute minimum throttle freeplay allowable. Basicall run the cable as tight as I can until it starts to idle up at full lock, then back it off a microde so that it doesn't rev at all at idle. This usually leaves only a mm or two of movement before the cable is engaged by the throttle. For me this gives the best feel and response from the throttle and minimises that 'ham fisted' feeling you get when trying to take up the looseness before you get response.- High Revving Bike
It would appear to be a blown base gasket mate. With case induction, as I imagine the Sherco's have, I would expect this would cause your high revving issues. High revving is usually caused be a lean mixture. It is something you need to address ASAP though as it may cause you bigger problems if you continue to ride it running lean.- Age Of Bike Etc Just With The Frame Numbers?
10th Digit on the frame number will give you the year model mate. a = 2010, b = 2011, c = 2012, d = 2013. Most manufacturers use this format. The barrel will have the cc's on it too, usually.- My Favourite Vid - Sa Boyz
Great video, sure looks like Beta central in RSA though!- Splat Crashes
If he learns to do them on an angle, then when he comes to a flat, they will be easy. Good video Zac. I look forward to catching you trying it in person when I eventually make it down to OMCC for a ride.- Team Wgasa Winter Training 2014
I thought angle was ok. As long as you are looking at the riders, I didn't think anything was missed. It's different filming trials with a helmet cam that enduro. You are always looking so close in front of you when riding trials, I think it is less crucial than in enduro when you are looking 50-100m in front of you all the time. All looked good from my opinion anyway.- Team Wgasa Winter Training 2014
Yeah, I thought it was a great video. A really good place to practice really. I would love a set-up like that to play around.- Embedding Videos
We are a bit slow here in Australia you see. I may have been born a pom but I was raised an Aussie, and we ain't too sharp! I am a member of a couple of forums and none of them automatically embed like that, it's pretty awesome!- 4Th Time On The Evo. Bruno Ceriotti.
You have picked up some good skills quickly, well done. Still I back up the call for a better helmet. Your ankles and legs will heel quicker than your brain!- Jason Finn, September 2013 Aged 44, Riding Gasgas Factory Replica
Yeah I was thinking after a return to trials at age 35, I would never be very good. No excuse now. He is great to watch, I have really enjoyed the few video's I have seen of his on here. I have missed so much in the 20 years I have been away!- Couple Of Wheelies From Last Summer!
Great wheelie's, good throttle and brake control, well done.- Trial Indoor Dijon 2014 In Bird's Eye View
Great Vid.- Jaime Busto, Upcoming Spanish Talent
I don't know what they do for trials, as I have just got back into the scene. However, the Red Bull 125 GP series, springs to mind and the many World Class tracks and well supported series' that enable them to develop talent. All the top riders in MotoGP right now, in all classes have come through the Spanish racing scene, and those wishing to enter the top level are racing in Spain. Pretty sure this is more than just coincidence and 'acceptance'.- Wtc Marseille X-Trial 2014
Just for those that haven't seen it and are interested, here is the final from the 2014 round of X-Trial in Marseille. We get no coverage here in Australia, thought others may suffer the same fate.- Embedding Videos
- Boot Quality
I rode in my Sidi Crossfire's at first, and then bought some Forma Boulders, and it became clear why trials riders ride in trials boots. - End Of The 2 Stroke?
