Damn, I thought it had disappeared from my channel listings, shame, t'was was good alternative TV.
I wish the British rounds were televised, a channel like Channel M would suitable as it has local team sport shown.

"SHOT" gear is priced really well..

Just a quick thankyou to all the folk who helped out on Sunday and especially to all the Observers and the land owners which made a great trial possible.

Hi Folks,
Just to let you all know the Novice & Beginners series of trials at the Spen Valley club have changed this year. There will be a 50/50 route available to help us cater for a wider range of riding ability(see below). Also just for the Novice and Beginners Series a new marking out team will setting out the courses and it is the intention that the trials are to be more friendly to the beginner and younger riders.
the novice/hard route will set out to cater for the novice clubman rider. Inters, experts and top novices that ride the hard route at centre trials will not be finding the route in anyway a challenge.
the 50/50 route is hoped it will help novices that are trying to improve their riding ability without to much of a jump in level, and will consist of competitors riding half of the hard route and half of the easy route (e.g. 8 sections in total, 4 sections the hard route ridden and 4 easy route sections ridden). Riders will ride the easy route unless the section start indicates to ride the hard route.
the beginner/easy route will be set out to cater for the absolute beginner and younger riders. Although not a conducted course, we hope most young riders would be able to cope with the route.
So if you have been to a Spen Valley Novice and Begginers trail in the past and thought it was a little tough, then come back and give this year series a try and see if it's more to your liking. The first trial of the series is at Cliff Lane, Cleckheaton on Sunday 29th of March 2009. I believe the start time will be 11am, but please check the TMX for the start time.
for directions please check the Spen Web site here
looking forward to see you there

Cown Quarry at whitworth is a good place to practice, not too far from bolton

If you have been riding over peat bogs, it's better to clean sooner rather than later as peat is acidic and can speed up corrosion on exposed metal.

There's a Spen Valley trial at Cliviger on Saturday 1pm not far too away, if fancy riding a competition. It's between Todmorden and Burnley A646 out of Todmorden.

I noticed in the specs it says it's fitted with a front brake and a what seems a revolutionary "Buttock" brake.

If you ain't adverse to driving too far, over the border there's Huddersfield Falcons, Spen Valley, and Horsforth doing trials not far away too. Places like tong near Bradford is a superb place to ride and practice too.

You could always put some of the sticky carbon effect stuff on as a sacrificial protection and replace it periodically. I used washers too to off set the exhaust.

I think PEM's in Rochdale may be able to help but I've not used them for tyre fitting. I'm sure there will be plenty of other places, but I not sure where.
I normally buy them from wherever I can at a cheap price and fit them myself.

Hi,
I have a habit of chucking my 4rt all over the place while going through sections and mine have stayed on no problems. I've scuffed the guards here and there, so I guess they work.

Go to vixy.net and you can put the you-tube URL in the box and it will convert the file and allow you to down load to varius formats. 3gp is so you can put it on your phone too. very cool

I've got to agree with the above statements about warming up, I had similar problems until I let it warm up, and it does take a while for that fan to cut in.
I've not tried the jitse filter yet, sr34 can you say what is noticeably different over using the stock filter and flame guard? more power? quicker to rev up?

Hi Folks,

I have a Peugeot Expert for every day use, it's the same body as the Citroen Dispatch. I easily get 2 bikes in the back and room for all mine and my mates gear plus tools etc. I could squeeze 3 in with some careful positioning. Great little van, and not too bad on fuel either. twin side doors make access easy too.
cheers

That looks pretty cool, does it still use the 4 fixing points or just the 2 we can see from the picture?
