John lampkin says that 250 is best for clubman use. As for bad points ask if stator has ever been replaced.

VERY lucky it wasnt a KTM or you can add a 0 on to the end of that number. Have you pulled the engine out yet? Did the seller warn of any problems?

Do you have any idea if it will fit a beta?? Are the wheels Powder coated or anodized?? Ive got an electroplaters and anodising service near me and its really quite cheap as they are used to doing big jobs...... electroplated 24carat gold frame??? Get a black sprocket and gold chain as well mmmmmmmmm

Daggs Have you got the hope top yoke on that lovely bike?? Where'd you get the wheels done?? Oh yeah put some really crap plastic screws to hold your mudguard on to avoid snapping it, they are rather expensive are they not??

2002 Sherco What Could Be Wrong?
When its warm everything will have been moving and be free, When cold everything gets going at once so will be harder (not sure but sounds like it is this) The noise could be anything- bearings, piston knocking etc

what i did with an old mudguard was cut the ridge where it curves round off then put a flick in the end, its still brittle but can flex backwards and scrape on the ground without snapping

Back Yard Playground
We have a vineyard to play around on and have a bank along the back with allsorts on it. We are hoping to get some concrete tubes and tyres etc. Ill take some pics tomorrow and post them!!

I've Scratched My Frame !
i didnt see that!!! I have a scratch down my petrol tank and tried to polish it out. No luck I covered it up with that carbon fibre stuff you saw. Did it go through the stickers???

also think about it maintenance wise (not against sherco but just sayin) My mate has a mont and tends to occasionally maintain it and its fine apart from back brake (his fault) Either bike will be fine but get a 250 sherco as the 290s rip up the mud in our centre and dont track as well

Lids
My hebo lid has taken quite a few bashes now. Mostly off the bike (door frames, roll cages and dropping it) I like it but not the shape, but comfortable. I like R2's KK replica one but thats gonna be hard to find and expensive. Any rccomendations. Oh yeah it has to have a removable lining to keep mum busy with the washing.
