Oh, so normal microsoft quality then?
-
Caught you out John, so no exclusion.
-
Nope John, that was the road sport. Martin: hadn't thought about the Crumps. They definitely qualify as off-road. But the answer I was thinking of is (tadah!): Bill and Jeff Nilson (MX & enduros respectively).
-
Big John gets the coconut again. I'll have to exclude you in future
Here's a trivia question: three father and son pairs have won world championships in the off-road displines, one should be very obvious to users of these forums, one should be fairly obvious and one is obscure. Who are they? Hint, I said OFF-ROAD disiplines.

First man to do a no-hander. Funny that I was thinking about him today.
Godspeed Marty.

I never rode a 330, but I have ridden the 335 (monoshock with the same motor) and it struck me at the time it had the best motor I'd ever experienced.
-
I'm going to sit back and watch this one
-
-
There seem to be quite a few 330's being used in twinshocks in Spain. Try mailing Horatio San Martin at todotrial and see if he can point you in the right direction.

Is that not Republic of Ireland? "Index" in what respect?
Ireland is ie.

Perce, do you remember the Suzuki TS185? I used to work in a bike shop during school hols and saw 2 or 3 come thru' that had been in front enders. All had two small dents on the tank just forward of the seat.
Anyway I've bodged it (the gasser), will wait a while and then get the frame re-chromed.
-
Funny thing 'bout the bunny hop was that within a few months of finding out about it every clubman out there was doing it. Show me a clubman who can hop on the back wheel today.
-
Seconded, Schrieber but it was earlier than '81. Probably 'bout '78.
-
Wonder if the winner will get a fish?
-
I know I'll put a Beta sticker on it. It'll make it look really sh&tty and no-one will notice the ding
-
But its' too 'new' to have a history
-
First trial out on my brand new Raga and it falls off the stand (really) and dings the frame. Not badly but enough to really irritate me.
So AFAIK these are the options:
1) Bodge it, fill in ding with araldite and cover with sticker.
2) grind off chrome, fill with brazing and re-spray black (as per 07 Raga?).
3) grind off chrome, fill with brazing rechrome frame ($$$$).
4) drill hole opposite, knock out ding, fill hole. Maybe re-chrome/respray if required.
Any options I might have missed or suggestions?

Hmm, observations from yesterday: Not too bad. I'm rusty and unfit (haven't ridden a modern bike for about 2 years). I elected for the inter lines until I'm fitter. I dropped silly marks where I stalled (damnit!). First seems the best choice for most sections. But I had the same experience when I came back to trials from enduros. Second IMO still too high, in spite of the 10T sprocket. Maybe I need more practice.
Smooth as a babies though. Crack the throttle and there isn't much it won't get up, even with me on board.
Summing up, if you're fit and reasonably competant I don't see much of a problem.
Thing fell off the stand on the second section and dinged the frame. B%gger!
-
Bet you will .
Dunno. Mucking about in the driveway it doesn't seem too bad now. Familiarity breeds contempt? Spud maybe you're right.
BTW the TooFast thing came from enduros..
-
Took delivery of my 06 Raga last thurs. Initial impression was "god what a snorter". Then I changed to the 10T front sprocket and it's calmed it down considerably IMO. It's got so much torque it'll get away with high(er) gearing and this results in you going way quicker than you'd like.
I've a trial this weekend then I'll see whether I need the flywheel weight.

You know Heath, I'm still trying to figure how you got space on an academic machine. Pray tell.
Nice riding area though.
