  1. Was that the one on evil bay? Rode the 335 (330 with monoshock chassis) and as I remember it had the motor from heaven.
  2. I admire McGrath for the way he told the big H to p**s off. When he left Honda it was a very acrimonious divorce. Seems Honda presented him with a new contract which he sensibly sent round to his lawyer. His lawyer then asked him if he was aware that Honda would own his image. At which he got on the blower to Honda and told them he wasn't signing. A week later he signed with Suzuki.
  3. Here ya go Steve: Austin Trials Results Noticed it the other day. Se my old mate Sam McNair beat Schwantz.
  4. Here's the brochure for the 198/199: There's a guy whos been restoring a 199 for a while. His site is: http://www.howieleem.co.uk/index3.htm
  5. Dave, the bike should look like this: The tank on yours is correct for the UK.
  6. Donald, see attached pic for sidestand:
  7. Looking back in the forums I see a few of you are MOH devotees. My eldests MOH pacific assault loads and the dissappears. Closes. Crashes. Whatever. I'm no fan of games. Rather be riding. But that's an aside. Any of you heard of this before?
  8. Oh thank god. For a moment I thought you were going to start giving health advice
  9. You mean like a toolkit for your spliff?
  10. And I've got an '06 Raga nah nah..
  11. I can just imagine there's Colley trying to figure out how in gods name, with two knackered elbows, he's going to text you back!
  12. Go flywheel weight. You won't believe how much nicer it makes the bike. How's Steve Cubby? On the mend?
  13. Boof, do not tie a brick to a USB cable and throw said brick out of the window. It WILL drag the computer down.

    Big John

For gawwds sakes buy another bike. We need a decent thread here.
  15. Oh well I guess he has to drill out the araldite
  16. Betting on the WTC? Might attract some dodgy Pakistani bookies and Martin might be found in Manchester harbour wearing concrete Alpine Stars. Seriously I met Woolmer briefly and he was a helluva nice guy. A sad loss to both cricket and the sporting world in general.
  17. ?? Speak to a chemical engineer. It's used as a catalyst in some processes.
  18. Donald, IMO pretty much a black & white situation. Trials boots give you more flexibilty and feel and less protection, MX boots more protection and less flexibility and feel. If it's a major problem you could consider MX boots if you're not to concerned about feel.
  19. In case you need further proof that the human race is doomed because of stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods. On a Sears hairdryer: Do not use while sleeping. (darn, and that's the only time I have to work on my hair). On a bag of Fritos: You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside. (the shoplifter special?) On a bar of Dial soap: "Directions: Use like regular soap." (and that would be how???....) On some Swanson frozen dinners: "Serving suggestion: Defrost." (but, it's "just" a suggestion). On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom): "Do not turn upside down." (well...duh, a bit late, huh)! On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding: "Product will be hot after heating." (...and you thought????...) On packaging for a Rowenta iron: "Do not iron clothes on body." (but wouldn't this save me more time?) On Boot's Children Cough Medicine:"Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication." (We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just get those 5-year-olds with head-colds off those forklifts.) On Nytol Sleep Aid: "Warning: May cause drowsiness." (and...I'm taking this because???....) On most brands of Christmas lights: "For indoor or outdoor use only." (as opposed to...what?) On a Japanese food processor: "Not to be used for the other use." (now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious.) On Sunsbury's peanuts: "Warning: contains nuts." (talk about a news flash!) On an American Airlines packet of nuts: "Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts." (Step 3: maybe, uh...fly Delta?) I don't blame the company. I blame the parents for this one: On a child's superman costume: "Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly." On a Swedish chainsaw: "Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals." (...was there a lot of this happening somewhere?)

    Rookie 80

I'd really avoid putting a heavier flywheel on an 80. I had a nasty experience with weighting a flywheel on a 125 MX bike I used in enduros. The thing wouldn't get on the powerband. It simply didn't have the torque to exploit the benefits of the extra flywheel weight.
  21. I used to work with a lady who had a friend who was a BA ground hostess at Heathrow. Apparently some obnoxious yank came thru
  22. You could always say that the motor and suspension traveled from Japan to Spain to the South Island to the UK. But why did the bike go to the UK and you stayed here?
  23. Did you guys find the Hawkstone MX video (film?). Brilliant stuff. Where did motocross go wrong? Trials and enduros have some great people involved. Down to earth, normal people. Everybody in MX seems to think they're the next W/C and couldn't be a***d to give you the time of day.
  24. Dunno who's seen this but if you haven't it's worth a look:
