Don't know about the song but yes Bernie was in OAS2. One of the trials riders in OAS1 was Malcolm Smith others included Dave Evans (Lane's father in law).

Eddy had a torrid time in the GNCC, so did Wattsie (after winning it once). It's a brutal series (as is AMA MX) and staying healthy's the name of the game.

The project was cancelled by Yamaha after the story broke in the weeklies. It was a twinshock based around the XT500 motor. I saw a pic of in the story mentioned previously.
I'd like to see Hayden win. Not because I'm anti Rossi but to add some spice. Sadly I don't think it's going to happen now.

Talking of Bells (I still have my Bell trials helmet), Lane what was that Bell bicycle helmet you were wearing in about '79? Same one that that dude who cycled across the channal wore. Nice looking.
Have a look in Classic Bike mag. There's a company that's been making flat caps and the like disguised as helmets for years (dunno how effective or legal they are).
I'll have a look in some old rags when I get home.
Hey Sir Trial-a-lot, please don't let this thread die. Great job so far. Waiting to see how the powder coating comes out. I wouldn't have thought that powder coating a chromed frame would work.
