Ah, Ringo the memories. Many years ago we'd go for our fast (or so I remember it) ride on a Sunday morning. One Sunday morning the local hotshot at the time (I hope Paul doesn't read this bulletin board) bought along his 14 yr old son. Off we go. Miles and miles of vegatated dunes (the riding territory not my brain). After 5 mins we stop. Where's David? We all agree to wait. Eventually David turns up. Pushing his KX80 through deep sand and nearing a coronary. Paul looks at David and says "I thought I told you to work on the bike. Now push it bike to car. You're not ruining my ride". Served the little bugger right. He's now faster than Alfie Cox and a few more. A damn good trials rider too. And well overdue a beer.

The kickstart being broken was predictable but otherwise seems in good nick. Nigel, Charlie, I can't remember the U2 song (Acrobat? Achtung Baby was the CD, shuttup Bigfoot) but it was (is) a really great song.

I didn't ask for your opinion you little prat, I asked (implicitly) where I might find some nice Sherco wallpaper. I made my decision based on engineering know how and MY wants and desires. The best bike is what you fancy (Mike Rapley). BTW I owned a Gas gas for 3 years and haven't a bad thing to say about it. So unless you have something intelligent to say keep your trap shut. Pity Sherco, who seem more jacked on their website than most, don't have nice wallpapers of their bikes (static, marketing type stuff) to download, all they have is that silly 360 deg thing. Might be the closest I get to owning one for a while.

If it wasn't for Bruce scoring points the guy I next feel pleased for is Grimbo. Hell he's had to take some knocks in his career.

I once read an article by Kevin Cameron, formally of Cycle now of Cycle Guide who described 2S runaways and he said that it's neither dieselling nor a hot spark plug tip that causes it but the presence of free-radicals in the charge. Basically these free-radicals are chemically so re-active that they ignite everything in sight.

Not neccessarily a good idea. Electronic ignitions don't like that much. Besides without gloves it hurts!

I wouldn't recommend this. Turning the bike upside down leads to fuel starvation which at WFO might lead to a blown big-end.

Guys used to do it to make super longe range tanks for the "Roof". They used to cut polystyrene to the right shape and coat it with f/glass, when finished they used to poor petrol into the tank which dissolved the polystyrene.
