Carb has all standard jets and mixture screw is four turns as per Lampkins and they now reckon it's the cdi unit but they no longer have a mechanic

My mates shoulder to get fixed my bike to run right for once and fifty or more people to enter all my trials next year

I always use instant gasket on my rev 4 and rev 3

Next question then how much is cdi unit

Anybody have any idea how to alter the timing on a 2008 rev 4t or is it best to leave it to the experts cheers Neil

Instant gasket works fine for me and havent got any sign of rust on my 4t since changing the stator in may

the bike has been back to feet up been to acklams next to lampkins if you cant even do a lap of a trial without taking the plug out and clean it there is something wrong somewhere. Also lampkins dont open on a saturday so thats two days off work to take it and then collect it

Checked and double checked everything i can think of and the only thing i can now see is when the choke is removed from the carb there is no sign of the brass rod but put it back on the carb and it shows about quarter of a centimetre of brass between the plunger and the plastic surround. Fix it and sell it back to my two strokes methinks

Rev 4 250 with standard jetting and checked by Acklams after half an hours running with a brand new plug is choking up and running as if the choke is on Plug is very black and sooty and have made sure choke is off as i know it has three positions. Any suggestions please folks this bike is really getting to me now

I buy mechanix gloves at about fifteen pounds a pair and the last two pairs are still in use after two years unlike the hebo boots I bought at the same time and the on and off trousers which lasted a year

nothing if youre talking about Lincolns trial

if you are actually at an acu trial you arent allowed to wash your bike there

I have even given up trying to advertise my trials on there

Totally agree with you and do believe kids aren't allowed to observe without an adult present

Please note that the trial is this Sunday 24th July and not August 21st due to holiday commitments all details in calendar section

thanks for your replies chaps will now have a word with my local yamaha dealer to see if he can supply any bits i need

i would personally say the 80 as it will last him longer as he will probably grow out of the 50 sooner

i must have bought a bad un then two months already had a new stator fork seals carb leaking petrol into airbox carb leaking petrol out of drain screw new clutch master cylinder as worn inside amongst other issues cracking bike to ride when its working
