Keep dreaming Ralph, left handers are me best, remember I was up there two weeks ago so already have a psychological advantage plus a new Mich. Pete make sure the end cards on all the sections are at the bottom of a hill not at the top, else there will be major queuing problems whilst Ralph does unnecessary back wheel hops through the cards.
Ralph recon Dad might come if theres a chance of a free ride? just needs to drag the misses out to do the observing honours

Great little venue, hope this map helps, easy to find though,

dan, may hook that out and watch later, great film

Big thanks to all involved organisers observers, fantastic trial, well-done all of you.
40 sections - 2 laps of twenty over quite a big lap in amazing countryside, me Ralph and The Goat Ryan did the 50/50 route which was perfect for us . Real variety of sections from mud/slippy to streams/steps/waterfalls all very ridable and no Geof Capes moments. Few ran out of fuel on the first lap, mainly gassers so the actual lap must have been quite long. Finished in about 5 and a half hours as it just started to lash it down.
Met Eiger on here, he can ride that TY with the best of them as well, and had a few good chats with some of the observers. Had a ***** first 10 sections mainly due to not engaging the brain into stream mode but after those first ones things got a lot better and didn

Eddie! come on mate, thats like spending 5 years in guantanamo bay, coming out and when asked what is was like you say, oh it was terrible pis*ed down the first week.
Whats the motor like, does it feel smaller, hows does it pull and does it still leak fuel
-
Nice one Jon, the congregation will be a little disappointed not to see him at the John macc and he told me today he would be turning water into Theakstones and Ruddles this evening so may not be fit for the long pilgrimage to Buxton. Enjoy your day mate,
-
Physco, yer heard that but more importantly one of our lads got up late after getting lashed up and missed his fuel stop, rumour has it he missed more sections than Grimbo

New tyres are all in the mind for most of us, I have pretty much never noticed much of a difference between a shagged tyre and new one except in deep mucky stuff. Rode thursday with the practice tyre in the mud and got loads of grip, wondered why I had just bought a new one for Sunday.
Saying that though, my mind will tell me I should have more grip tomorrow because its a new tyre, if the old one was on I may worry about grip so although it wont actually make a P**s bit of difference I will think it has.
Only time I have ever noticed a tyre not gripping was about 2 months ago in Wales where the grip suddenly disappeared on grass climbs, tyre had been on there for more than any tyre I have had. Grip is more down to throttle control than rubber, almost better off riding with old ones as it should improve the throttle control for grip.
I think the direction mark is only there for road use as it has to be, should nt make any difference for trials though

Heath, ring Steve, pretty sure hes lightened his Clutch weight from what i have heard

Bought a pair today after a mate raved about them last week, really easy to sort out the exact position for bite on the clutch and front brake. Even adjust them on the move, saves messing about with a spanner and allen key to find it still isnt in the correct position.
Sorry if this is old news but first time I ve seen them, About 8 quid from BVM

Take no notice of it at all, turn it and you will get a few more rides and grip in the next few weeks.
-
Useless, where are you in the country? may be able to point you to a few if I know
-
Clubman, any rider who does nt fancy the hard route, its as simple as that these days. The step between the hard route and clubman route is so big these days the choice is easy for most of us.
Its not trophy hunting at all, some hard routes like the Lakes are well above what centre Experts are capable of doing without getting hurt or not enjoying the trial. We are travelling 3 hours on Sunday to a North Trial and will be doing the 50-50 route, dont want to turn up and go home on the first lap because its beyond me.

Where abouts are you in the Midlands Mil? nowhere really Anymore to ride legally, loads of places a few years ago. Mountain bikes are very different to Trials bikes, most people ramblers etc will except them to a degree but its different for bikes. All of us get tarnished with MX and Enduro and areas soon get closed down. We have our own site we rent from a company and are very very lucky to have it. We have spent quite alot of time and money fencing it off and policing it but landowners like these are like rocking horse ****.
Soon as you find a new area even if you get permission the MX ers are soon there blatting around and it gets stopped very quickly. Be prepared to travel, we do, we spend most of out time in Wales, 2-3 hours to get there but worth it for the area.
If you find a good site, I can virtually guarantee the council will have it closed no matter what you say or do, best idea is to have a drive around one weekend, find a few areas off the beaten track and approach the landowner. Make a good proposal to him, like rent amount, times of use, insurance(the major stummbling block) and indemnities to cover his a*** incase someone gets hurt or killed. Limit the riding to a group of you say 5-10 and no-one else.
Its possible the landowner will think your MX ers so send him some good info on what trials is all about and how different it is too MX/Enduro, quiet, slow and skill based sport, may even be worth sending a DVD as well.

Stu, have heard about Toms Farm and yes its mainly used for Enduro and MX. Its become abit of a s**t hole lately, riders making a terrible mess of the place (Rubbish) and I did here it may be or soon to be closed. It is a very Dark place where Enduro riders go to get lashed up,shag sheep and burn stuff, I will see if I can find some info for you.
Here mate http://www.showmesome.info/hilux/info/sites_toms_farm.htm

Big Sport MotoGP in Spain, all motorcycle sports actually, lots of money and sponsors to go round. Nowhere really more into bikes than the spaniards.

Yer Ralph, we even witnessed him turning water into RedBull and his laying on of hands on my carb was incredible. He had important work to do later at DHL so had to go early but will be seen preaching at the John Macc this Sunday, he does walk on water, you watch him up them streams.
