  5. my bit of foam is more like a pre filter the water gets on the airs box and soaks into the filter where you say it stick out then works its way into the air box. you do have the seal fitted to the rear fender?
  6. water normally gets in round the foam bit of the filter! on the lid i have some fish pond filter foam on mine to stop the **** getting in will try to post pic if i have time
  7. Come on its a chain and sproket, it carries you and bike over allsorts, your going to get wear!!!
  8. Disc brakes that are inside the spokes attached to the hub. unless i am missing somthing how would you conect the caliper to the lever?

  10. @ least i now know where u got your title from!!
  11. you just described mine!!! but i do tend to ride on the clutch more! ie pick the revs up and feed the power in to find the grip. so im poss a bit rich, 2000 montesa screw out to lean off??
  12. so what do you actually look for and gain by setting the mixture screw?
  13. the montesa before the 315 had a plug in bit?? thats altered power! three diferent ignition mappings would be easy done with a switch!
  14. brakes you can get the pads out without taking rear wheel out!! selectable power band for wet slippy or dry. traction control would not be very good, somtimes your need a fast spining wheel to clear the ****. good plastics.......... that dont break and dont let the colour peel off. greese nipples on linkages
  15. i have used a DC one sind 97 and had no trouble though i did modify it to ad a long bar that goes up from the rack rests near the foot rest mount and alows me to loop over the seat with a strap. i than have one from the foof of my van to the handle bar to stop it swaying on braking acceleration. i have had one bike on rack and 3 bikes on a trailer aswell. one point of legality, you tow bar has a wieght limit of XXkg and you will exceed this. i use a witter and its ok, i even bought two tow bar mounts so i could use both my vehicles if misses had one. used to put it on a fiesta and it knew it was there but was ok. i recomend it and best thing is when bike is off just lift rack out and store. forgot another thing i did was weld a ring to the bit on the tow bar so i can padlock bike to van so stop the scum of this world walking off with bike while im in services (pub) etc
  16. thank m8 and a big thanks to Mr ND
