NEW DUNLOP TL01 REAR TYRE
I can't believe anyone are still buying these. I bought one of the first sets available, rode one event and threw them in the trash.

Honda Montesa Spain factory fire at 05 June 2026
They were mainly scooters and small motorcycles. Not many trials bikes.

93 Climber 280 Kickback
Take a close look at the magnets on the flywheel. They would come loose over time. They would break when the mains became worn.

Beta evo80 carb idle issue
I would clean the carb again. You need to spray all the passages in the carb body to make sure they are clear. All jets and any holes in the emulsion tube. Good luck.

Crank case markings
I would say that marking has nothing to do with what needs done right now

Montesa 301 RR Clutch Issues

260 vs 301 for novice.
It is a shame you have to go through the pump issue. The 4rt was rock solid for it`s first 16 years. The pump issue has been around for almost 4 years now. Terrible mess.

Rolling backwards.
We went over a decade without being able to roll back. The rules were all over the place. Some places the good riders could hop sideways and then reposition themselves. Quite silly as it was the same spot if you would have just rolled back. The world rounds did away with the no stop about 3 years ago. Most places have gone back to the roll back is legal, but if you dab going backwards it is a 5. Finally there is a push for all trials to get the same rules. Very hard for an outsider to understand our sport.

Beta Techno Carb Woes
Have you pulled the header pipe off the bike. Sounds like it is full of fuel. The crank could be full as well.

260 vs 301 for novice.
Yeah, he was asking about the 301. The 300 cota is slow compared to the 301. The Montesa has the best suspension and handling. Yeah, the beta std runs more like a sewing machine. Never liked the 4 T Beta.

260 vs 301 for novice.
I love my Beta`s, but recommending the 4 stroke as super smooth over the 2 stroke is quite funny. I have many hours working on the 4T. Ny son had a real good running 300 4T with all the upgrades. When he went for a new bike I forced (invited him) to buy a Montesa. He has loved it ever since..

260 vs 301 for novice.
The Beta is the easiest bike to learn on, but not a 300. If you need a 4 stroke buy the 260. The 301 is too quick.

Holding revs really bad beta 250
Ps You can take off the flywheel cover. Grab a hold of the flywheel to feel any movement. If you feel any up and down movement, you need new main bearings and seals.

Holding revs really bad beta 250
The jet tower gasket can leak and cause all kinds of poor behavior. That`s the piece inside the carb with torx security screws. The original gasket can shrink. The mating surfaces are not very plumb. Some people have good luck filing the surfaces flush. Sometimes just a new gasket fixes the issue. You can also search you tube for ways to test your carb.

What carb is on the bike? Should be a pwk, but old enough it could be anything.

2005 TXT 250 starting issues
So We were at a National in late 2004 in the states. A friend had a 300 pro. Just after getting his score card and starting his bike he broke that case right before our eyes. Luckily Dale M. the USA gas gas importer was in line with us. Dale ran back to his trailer, pulled out the case and a gasket and handed me the parts. I had the bike back together in 40 minutes. We all finnished on time and had a great weekend. We sure will miss Dale! Thanks Arnoux for hanging out posting and helping everyone!

Trials entry
Yeah, you guys are talking about two different types of events. Our local event does have pre entry, but you can sign up at the trials for the same costs. We have had portable toilets at local events for about 2 decades as the total people count is about a hundred. We are having a National next May. Already working on the sections. The Nationals thrive on having a real number of pre-entries, you can enter on site the day of the event, but costs a hundred dollars more! Security? You guys don`t live in the states. Even our Pastor at Church carries a gun under his Robe.

Couple of questions for you Beta Technophiles out there
https://www.trialsport.com.au/beta/Manuals/mikuni/ Pay attention, this problem went on for a long time. About 18 years.

4RT Clutch Actuation?
The std 300 Beta in stock mode is weak. Beta used to have a bunch of factory parts to make it zing. My son had a 2015 with all the goodies and it was a beast. On the other hand I spent a day riding Ray`s bike and it was a monster, but was quite fun! If you look at the stock plate on the left, you can see the witness marks were a few springs moved off center. Just because you use different springs does not mean they don`t work correctly. The Japanese put alot of thought in the aftermarket parts they use.

4RT Clutch Actuation?
That is 'nornal' on a diaphram clutch! The oring should not go bad if you are using mineral oil. Must be that tractor lube!

4RT Clutch Actuation?
You were repying to me, again! LOL The Montesa clutch has never been very good ever. But we all have opinions. You should know better. Don't you ride a TRS now?

4RT Clutch Actuation?
There is a reason the hrc machines use a different clutch.

4RT Clutch Actuation?
The plate holds the springs straight. They other wise rub on the towers. The springs are much lighter. Available from Webike.
