Yes, that is correct. It looks like the 28 VHST carb to me, noth the bog standard PHBL 26. They used to put the Kiehin 28 on the Caby bikes. Even them are finikey. My impression, for the top lads that want and need more top end power, these things can work for them(although a trade off) and for an average rider, the bog standard PHBL works fine if well tuned. Add very stable if kept clean. No big deal really, as standard carbs are easy enough to find if you choose. I really hope they have the VHST's worked out, as it would be a nice carb if it had the reliability of its little brother! They are similar, but yet very different at the same time.

Other thoughts that come to mind. 3M makes a rubberized sealing tape for sealing wire connestions. It is thin and may work to lay over an area. Another thing would be a regular tire patch laid in the area and glued onthe tire bead. They are thin and beveled and flexable! ???????? I can almost seal up a ducks butt with urethane windshield sealer! Might build up the area a bit with that! Good luck!

Hi! You really need to get out and ride some bikes before you pick your poison! Just for playing around, a good 125 or 200 is smooth and gentile, yet will do most anything!

Although I am guilty of keeping a few old CD's in the truck that have been there for years, I usually rely upon the radio for different local and small town culture variations. It can be quite interisting actually. Southern culture in the US accross the distance! I can sing along to the CD's though, not a pretty thought! There is probably some relationship to this travel/ culture thing in the UK that some may appreciate.

Back in the old days, we were not limited in the 125 class. I liked to ride, and could ride-up a class, so it was not unusual for me to sign up for maybe 125EX and 250EX in the same day on the 125's, some days maybe open class as well. So, 9 motos on the day, a beating! But I did kick some butt on the big bikes! Bit of irony in all that, it was one of them days at a small local track I was trading first place with some idiot on an old TM400 and me on the Penton! A bit of a mid-air collision coming out of a creekbed cost me my left ACL upon a hard landing and having to plant the leg to recover. Last half of the last lap of the day. I won the race on one leg, three class wins on the day! I lost the war! Knee is still buggered! Along with the other one now after my "comeback " in the mid "80's on A CR250 rocket! Trials is good now!

I think it would probably be ok as long as you get the tube to fully(push to) seat the tire on the rim to begin with. When things pop on, they really pop. I can run really low pressures on the Dunlops with no problems. A good tire soap really helps these things jump on the bead easily at reasonable pressures. I suppose you have already tried to get this tire to seal up with some silecone RTV or something as a patch/filler?

As memory serves me, I was still on a '71 Suzy 125 that had been converted with the factory race kit at the time. Back then there were no factory race bikes like the Elsinore, as you kinda had to build your own out of a DT, TS or something. The Euro bike were far too exotic and pricy(still not that good). I do still recall one of the rich kids down the block having the first Elsinore 125 out, and although a beauty bike, we still outrode him. As stated the handling was not "all that"! Somewhere along in this time period DeCoster was smoking the euros on the jap bike, and the friggin RM 400 (KILLER) was invented! Yea, one ride on that will do! Somewhere in there I did get what I recall was a '74 CZ 250, which was a wicked bike! Somewhere in there, I reverted back to a new 125 Penton, with good success. I found a pic of the old Suzy, my gosh, we beat them things to death! Kinda like a modern rider on a TL-125!

It looked to me from the pics that they are including the 28 mm carb on these(although mayby not painted red) and these may be a bit of an unknown entity.

Too Kuel! Those were some good looking bikes! I cannot even remember the year or what I was riding at the time they came out. Sex on wheels they were! Steve was an avid rider, nice to see that clip. I really miss bikes that would do powerslides like that! These new(tall) things just suck at it! We had an open practice field in the 'hood with a flat track and a couple jumps that we could blast speedway style!!!! (which has also made me want a seat/ tank on the trials bike as well)

Well, there is a stop screw adjustment, although you may have to compensate on the pushrod side if you take the freeplay out of it! Freeplay = 0 works, but it needs to return fluid so cannot overadjust. Mine is a bit higher than the peg, but I adjust and do not hit it upon accident, which is the other curse if level!

As mentioned , there is a lot of fiddling around you can do with these things, but if things are in fair shape otherwise, I would just get some factory seals(and wipers if damaged) disassemble and clean everything properly and install new seals, install the full length neoprene booties with the zip ties on top as well, as they are well sealed and I have never had seals leak on my bikes. Maybe just lucky! The film strip just re-arranges the dirt that is already in there! I try to get the Delay booties in blue if possible, I think BRX had some last I checked. But yet, I have used some half length ones that Lewisport sold at the time and had no problems, just checked them periodically. All point being, if things are clean and kept, problems are fewer. Get-R-Done!

I rode one ov them Beta 50 enduro bikes once, quite tall and good power really! Think the have kit for 70-80 cc! Fun bike! The little things will scream! I had a Yamaha RD-100 twin back in the day, seem to recall it would make 70mph! Crashed it bad once! It was done! Near took me out as well!

So this is a new one? Are they running the 3.0 V6 as the ones here? Very nice, yet very expensive to repair and maintain it seems to me.
