  1. I would say the Mont more heavy and gentile, the Sherco lighter and perky! Much depends upon what you want and expect of the bike.
  2. That would be 62.5 ml per 5L, or 12.5 ml per L , high quality synthetic racing oil. 2% or 50:1 is just too much, not needed. And eve at the 80:1 ratio, if you are putting about a lot, one needs to take the bike out for a run through the gears a few times to get some heat into the muff and blow out some accumulated oil in the exhaust. May smoke a bit(lot), this is good to keep things cleared out and rid of excess buildup in the muff.

    Trials

So the fat ******* in the back just leans rear to get more traction? What fun! Can I mount my swinging beerholder to one?
  4. You guys need to understand that a generic plug reading like this is not a good indicator. You would also be well advised to check with your local dealer to see if the the preferred jetting is installed, as most "out of box" bikes are off. Once run in, the bikes perform well at 80:1 mix on the oil, too much can darken a plug. But back to your basic question, on a Dellorto the screw controls the low speed fuel flow. NOT AIR, so turn it in to get less(lean mix), out to get more(rich mix). This mainly effects idle and less than 1/8 throttle. Usually around 2.5 to 3.5 turns out from fully in. Varies a bit with the day to achieve best running. You can play with this and learn something. If the screw is IN too much(less fuel), the idle can get floaty and the bike may react poorly to throttle. If it is out too much, the idle can be lumpy and poppy, one needs to seek the happy medium, probably about 1/8 turn at a time, once in range, and then adjust accordingly for the day. Adjustments done at normal operating temps(warm motor). Thankfully, the 125's do not seem to be as sensitive to changes in temps and pressures as the larger bikes, so finding your "sweet spot" can be easier. But if you are having to run 3.5 turns out to get things to work, you might want to consider a larger pilot jet. Here, on our fuel, 34-38 range seems the norm, and i have found that a bike set too lean, say at 30-32, will cost you power and response. Your screw setting can be your guide on the jets. Hope that helps,
  5. If you smoked a joint back in the 70's, and did not inhale, do they still count that against you? George W. Or was that Bill?
  6. Does this new site have a Pub, with a big TV, and female attendants with girth, live action video, once I have seen the start via my daily stroll? The rest sounds OK as long as there is the kickoff in town and the awards! a SHUTTLE FOR SPECTATORS(drunk or not) seems the need! Looks to me like things are able ti shift about. I know little, but if I were going to make that trip, I would not like to miss the town and the events within,
  7. Got mine, thank's John! Top job! I need to go practice!
  8. Seen the Che-Zed in the back too, you are now confirmed!
  9. I seen (someone) won the ladies EXP at TTC! Good job!
  10. I would set the static spring sag like any other, 20-30mm with bike weight only. Looks like your old one was too wound up tight! Not sure if both the "spool" and the "screw" will move or "click", if so it must be adjustable in both compression and rebound rates. Note the standard settings, then adjust one at a time for the quickness you want. The Sherco shock is a different length than a Gasser as reported by others, although one may be able to re-configure one..?
  11. I totally understand. This is why I do not give you a hard time. You are kinda on edge. How is Disneyland? Did you pet the mouse?
  12. Increase your budget a bit, you may find better hardware, lessen your grief, have a better ride. more fun!
  13. The bad thing is, in reality, these things fail all the time. Not such a big deal really, that is why you have two per cyl. Unfortunately, a good old NGK does not fit a standard aircraft motor, although there are a lot of them flying around in converted auto engines and others such as the Rotax motors. Most all standard aircraft have two entirely separate magneto(yes points) driven ignitions installed , both for efficiency and redundancy. Add, to this day, no one will be convinced that pure electronics is "better", and I still tend to agree.

    Mudguard

Do as stated , then purchase a spare! If Murphy's law prevails, you will not need it!

    Progress?

He, he! It all works till you knock the hellovit! I would have thought the Italians could have made this phallic thing rotate as well!
  16. Loosing it? Na, just done with it! The latest today on the MSN was the city of LA wanting peeps to chuff up for their mistake on the big memorial! Semms they were expecting 125,000 to show, and only 1.000 did, therefore the city was out millions on overtime pay for the 2,300 coppers they ordered up! Friggin idiots! It just never ends!
  17. If you think trials bikes are expensive, I pulled up the sale prices on spark plugs for the Cessna today! The Irridium ones are nice! I only need eight of them for a basic 100hp 4 cyl. motor(2 per cyl). Much like a VW Beetle! $77 x 8=? Sparkies! Think I will settle for the standard ones
  18. I shall not knock Michael any more, he was the top man in pop music for decades. The money, the productions, the showmanship, mostly trendsetting and sometimes awesome, and few if any compare over time, at least of the generation. Specially to such a wide audience, worldwide! The fact he was weird(at best) in his personal life, well? If money is no object? Give it a go! When everyone wants to sue you for a piece? I did my brief pittance in his memory. And in the words of another old friend that come to mind reguarding Jim Morrison of "The Doors"------ He Is HOT! He Is SEXY! and He Is DEAD! R.I.P.~!!!! Certain things remain, as I think I stated, may still have the first Jackson 5 album somewhere. Other things were a first, I seem to recall the huge promotion of the "Thriller" video released on MTV!!!!(still in its infancy in the 80's ) A world debut! It was simulcast, I think! And I (of few) had the ****e! S.T.E.R.E.O.--TV !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On the BIG 26" SONY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I were in the cool zone! "BAD" was another shocker in itself! Fact is I have found that any time one can play HITS from ONE artist untill you puke(and you know most all the words), there is something to be said here. The promotion was great, moreso than the Beatles in the 60's! All I can say is it stood the test of time, still fun to watch!
  19. This version is a bit more graphic , still good FTLOG-2
  20. Crap is still crap, whatever the name. Cannot believe the ******* dissed the friggin piano with a burnout as well. Probably find it on Ebay, as someone thinks it a collectors item.
  21. I think you have the right idea. I was hoping someone else could chime in to confirm, but a 1 or 2 mm deduction may be in order. I would have to pop them out to get proper measure with a micrometer, then add or subtract accordingly. Looks like it may be easier to do all your measures in metric. If the spec is 0.1mm INT and 0.15mm EX then that would convert to .004 and .006 in roughly. Looks like an added thickness of 0.1 mm on them would be in order.
  22. That may just be the most rediculous thing I have ever seen! And the music pretty much sucks!
  23. Percy has a bike on sale with the Ohlins! PM him to see what happened to the stocker!
