  1. Yea, well what did you take off? A few systems seem to prefer a resistor due to the electrics, but for the most, this is for RF noise suppression.
  2. Not sure just how many out west man, some should reply!
  3. May email Mike at Tryals shop for reccos as well.http://www.tryalsshop.com/tech-support.html
  4. The trick to re-installing with a windy gun is to scribe the nut and shaft prior to disassembly so you can put it back where it belongs without overtorqueing it.
  5. Did you break the shaft or just the return spring? Look back a bit in the forum for more details on this. The shaft slides out without engine removal.
  6. GOOD! Possibly, common sense shall prevail!
  7. I thought the later ones came with the lighter flywheel, but not sure. May be nice to know what you have then contact the Scorpa dist!
  8. At some point in a normal ride, I usually try to perform a good clean out of the motor. Get some heat in it as compared to putting about, and rev the crap out of it a few times under load. This tends to blow out excess oil accumulation in the bottom and clear the muff as well, but it takes heat!, so a couple of good drag race runs through the gears at least. Motor should rev to top cleanly before you are done, plug gets clean and happy, requires less replacement due to fouling. Start out slow, then get some heat init! May smoke like hell from the muff if has not done in a while!
  9. Note to self: Stop parking next to the bonfire!
  10. Unfortunatly, seems we have no way of dynamic testing(meter) the hall sensors of the stator, which is what usually fails by report.
  11. See if you can fix the leak on the original by installing a standard US o-ring(slightly larger dia.), I have done this before and worked fine.
  12. He still listens to you? Wait till he is 15 and knows everything!
  13. Brilliant bike as I recall! Gentle so you can concentrate on riding rather than managing an overpowered bike!
  14. Bout time to learn to clean a Dellorto pilot jet it sound like! Water can do this as well, see if you can catch what comes out the bowl in a clean clear vial, you may be surprised!
  15. I'll give you a tenner for the Dellorto!
  16. These may be similar, Glenn http://www.splatshop.co.uk/s3-handlebar-ends-end-5.html
  17. My '12 bike came with a maintenance manual and tool kit! About 12 pages of dribble printed in 3 languages with illustrations! The old service info on the website is mostly all still relative, and the parts books accurate with minor exceptions. I am sure they may update things if needed, but that day has not come.
  18. Ring chatter, piston slap, primary gear rattle, clutch chatter and gear rattle all come into play, not to mention other vibrations due to loose stuff. I hear a lot of that in a lot of this, yet nothing particular standing out! Average rattlebox! Yes, yours is quieter after an overhaul!
  19. Have a small hand pump fron a bicycle shop that fits in my camelback, about 7 inches long, works in a pinch for adding air to section levels and adjustment on the day.
  20. Yea, what Charlie said. may try thr threadmaker stuff and/ or see if you have enough depth to get in a M5x20 as the standard is 16. These require no tightness, just snug!
  21. I may be missing something in the audio, but it sounds fairly normal to me! A fresh replate of the bore and a new piston should tone it down a bit, but time will take its toll on that as well.
