On second thought, where is Ian B.? We may need to patent a bluetooth version!
-
Found wifey with one of these, I guess I am done for! The friggin phone does everything else!
-
Welcome, now wash and polish!
-
Thought you would like that Glenn! Actually I have no idea what is on them, but if true as Neil says it is a Mikuni BSR, (or just a MIC) seems common o-ring for application, and yet strangly enough, the part number seems to have been deleted(no longer supplied) in many applications from Yamaha.
There should be some out there, but I am sure it is a little POS that is hard to match up!

What that TFT, they gave you milk? We had to carry our lunch money, Seems I recall it was $ .25 or so, then went up from there over time.
If they gave kids milk nowadays someone would sue for forcing it on the lactose intolerant!

The fork spring is probably the same in that year. I think splatshop offers a heavier one yet seldome needed.

Look here for the rear spring info.

Good Lad, he is in again this year it seems. Hope he lost the yellow tighties! Looked allmost human on a Sherco in black!
-
Oh my goodness! Bless your heart, you did exactly what I told you not to do, did'nt you?
Hope you did not damage your as---embly!

little Beta experience here, but for one thin I may suggest having had similar on others, I never make a 1-2 shift in mid section if I can avoid it on the fly.
And if I do, I ususally look for a kick down to find neutral while rolling then the Positive enguagement click up to second, as compared to a simple 1-2 transition through neutral, and all that said, even if I do a rolling 1-N-2 shift, I want the feel of the positive secondary click through the lever, or else?
Long story made short, the 1-N-2 shift process is complex and does not allways happen well depending upon loads and such.

They say that info on drives that have been re-formatted can be recovered. Far be it for me to attempt any of that.
Maybe you need to wipe at least twice to insure it comes up clean! Just like toilet paper! Maybe I need to invent a "wet wipe"!!!!!

Look at this http://www.splatshop.co.uk/blog/2012/12/setting-the-float-height-on-the-keihin-pwk-28/ as a referance.
On my OKO, I went a mm or more so higher(lower level when upright) than that without issue, So basically flush with the appendage.
Contact Splatshop for more info.

Should be the same best I recall, nice little bike, and even though the 125 is a bit limp, the ones with a 163 kit get along quite well as remember. A bit top heavy as it is a 4T, but smooth nevertheless.
-
You are normal, trying too hard, need more beer!
Relax, let the bike come to you, if it were just a curb or rock you would never think twice about it! All in the head, takes more time!
-
Good work Ridg! You may fallin love again!
-
No! It is rather white though, the rattlecan stuff don't do it!
I have retoutched a few spots with the brush on toutch up laquer, use a Chrysler/ Dodge code PW7. it works!

Obvious hard to say over the "tinternet" sounds are indeed subjective matter as well, yet if the bike has been well ridden it is not impossible.
These bikes do have a lot of mechanical noise to begin with, basic clearances, straight cut gears and such on the primary side, clutch and gear rattle.. Then add the fact you do a fresh top so those things are now quieted, one starts listning to other things.
Then one gets into the fact that normal evaluation of the big end bearing must normally be done strictly by "feel" , yet any percievable slack is not nood, and can be difficult to separate from lateral slide and rocking, as these things do indeed have some clearance which is basically hidden by the oil normally.
All said, if you feel it indeed a mechanical noise, best would be to be able to compare to a new on if possible, yet if you know it is just not right, replace the thing(not cheap) and be done with it! Yet as I re read your orig comment of (piston hitting head) what you dicsribe is a HEAVY knock, which would not be typical in a slightly loose rod condition that I might fathom, without it being more constant.

And he uses this for long term storage because he is cheap and the excess keeps the tires up and things from rusting.
I have Never used more than an 80:1 mix of full or semi synth quality premix oil which would be 62.5 ml to 5L if I recall correctly.
I have Never required more than 5 psi in the front, even on the rocks. Usually start at 4.
I have Never required more than 4 psi in the rear , even on the rocks, usually start with 3 on a mich or dunlop(and yes your pressures will increase a bit as you ride on a normal day with use as the day and tire warms)
And although I admit to using ATF at times, the typical Sherco will have smoother clutch action on a light gear oil for bikes which is a bit higher viscosity.
You will find other varying opinions, yet this is the basis from which to start.
I will also leave you with one other piece of advice. When washing the bike, simply remove the rear mudguard with the three screws, pull the air filter and block the hole by whatever means. A foam plug works best. Inspect the filter and clean as necc and re-oil. Wash away at the rest keeping water out the box.
Any other method will allmost assure you a wash through of water and dirt through the filter and into the box and engine eventually! And reguardless of hose or pressure!
And that bout sums that up!
Respectfully,
The Village Idiot

Splatshop Chris did a blog on the PHBH setup yet I cannot find it now, might call or email him. Yet it seems to me that on a typical dellorto, after around 3.5 turns out makes no difference as the needle end of the screw is out of range of adjustment as it is short. Might as well screw it back in.
My bike runs a larger pilot to keep the screw within working range of operation on the PHBL, yet there is a narrow range of happiness here as compared to many who just throw in say a 35 and run the screw wide open.

Yes, we enjoy watching each other fall over on flat ground!
-
Put mix at about 80:1 full synth oil!
