  1. Hi there. bit of a novice looking for a club. oh and friends.
  2. hi there. I have above bike and its really good, that might/does sound daft but after never considering a spanish steed 6 months ago i now have two! I also have an 02 250 pro. i bought that having ridden a 125. love it. Now the EC is superb. ive ridden a lot of bikes xr, cr, drz, ccm and ktm. i gotta say this bike has really put a smile on my face. it looks great. and the engine is so smooth, you wanna tootle about, it'll do it, you wanna open it up and it just motors along.( tails off earlier than true mx bike but bottom to mid makes up for it) suspension is first class too. Im entered in the cotswold enduro club selattyn H an H this weekend. will let you know how it goes. Oh and GasGas uk are really good. Anything ive needed has arrived next day. highly reccomended. Also anybody near birmingham interested in doing H an H or trail riding, my green lane knowledge is lacking but i have good transport.
  3. I agree with you on the lightness front. i just think my bike could track better and wondered how much sag is ideal on the front end? if mr gasgas decided to have 6" travel forks i think that it was for a reason. little does he know that mr bat fastard is wobbling round on his design now. will call gasgas uk on monday, i like them, enough to buy an ec 250. oh and i have slow action throttle fitted, such an improvement for 5 mins work. would like to try a flywheel weight to see difference but engine wise im very happy. think i'll also turn up some preload spacers 25mm like you said, can always shorten em.
  4. hi there. i have a plan. i cant ride trials that well but i have a great time, the plan is to get better. ive ridden a friends 270 rev which is nice, but not perfect. i would like my GG to be stable like the beta. now my thinking is that my GG is unstable because the forks are too soft resulting in ever changing head angles/wheelbase im 15 stone so probably out of the ideal suspension range so will stiffer springs help? i can change damping easily but i honestly think the front blows through its travel far too easily. your thoughts?
  5. I have a 02 gasgas pro and can agree with the above, high maintenance. I love the way it feels so light though, a friend of mine has an 06 270 rev and it feels so much heavier when ridden. true it is very well planted but it doesn't feel as much fun! AS so many have said before on these pages. try before you buy.
  6. After buying an imaculate 250 pro i thought id freshen her up with some new plastic ware. now having called a couple of retailers ive been informed that 03 onwards seat airbox unit is different to 02. meaning if i want later style plastics i have to buy a new airbox? any body have any experiance of this? how different are the later mudguards?
  7. bought bike! checked clutch. oil was low so the primarys were clacking about whilst having no load on em. more oil and rattle has all but dissapeared. well it does when i pull clutch in. Happy now. tbh my Honda sounds sweeter and is 15 years older!
  8. Hi ya. went to see a very nice GG today but when started it rattled like my 996. Noise wasn't from the clutch and it did quieten down a bit when it was warm. Is this normal? dont think piston slap is an issue cause its not had much use and i spoke to shop that recently had it apart for top end freshen and they said its normal. Is it the ATF they use? Thanks guys.

    Tlr 200 Gearing

I used B and C express for a renthal sprocket. It was listed for TLR but im fitting it on TLM. How are they held on? My TLM has a plate with 2 m6 bolts. new 10t gbox sprocket has no place for bolts. was told it wont come off whilst chain is on?
  10. I've bought and sold a fair bit on ebay and agree with the above. Its a good advert with pretty pics. but you can get a lot out of the pictures. How well presented the machine is. If its actually clean! Also spend time looking at feedback, its a resource Autotrader and tmx dont have! My advice would be to ask pointed questions if the bike is not as described you are perfectly within your rights to walk away.. I bought my TLM off Ebay and im well chuffed. Getting into trials so im gonna invest in something newer!
  11. You know the missus read it the same way! any way i had a great time
  12. I use hair dryer and it works perfect every time stops them coming off in little bits!
  13. Attended trials school last Sat (13th Jan) In Glos Well i'd like to say i was brilliant but i wasn't! The old Tlm did her best but it was the ham fisted plonker riding her that caused things to go wrong! Despite this i got some excellent help from Steve and David. who make it look and sound easy. Best quote of the day goes to David though, something about my concentration when i was at school. thing is i cant remember,I wasn't paying enough attention The group attending was pretty diverse. youngest being 8. riding a Beta 50 Auto. I never got his name but he was brave! Oh and his Dad let me ride his scorpa Oh and a nice young lady who seemed unfazed all day not to mention skilled. It was good to see the day organised so well and it was great to see i wasn't the only one new to trials riding. Any sport needs new blood and what better way to improve it than to provide top level training for all levels of ability I enjoyed the day and the venue had a lot to offer so i'll be booking myself in for the next one. Thanks to Steve (Trials Ace) David (Horse whisperer) and Alex (Great rider with great attitude)
  14. Not used to stand up motorcycling so the bone dome takes a few knocks! Glad i got my old mx lid and unscrewed the mouth guard, hey presto retro and recycled! Oh and Ive just been on a Steve Saunders training day. more useful than any flash kit!
  15. hi ya. Glad this subject got a bit of interest. WD40 makes engine come up nice and stops mud sticking for a bit. oh and i'd love to know where to get plastics from for that price! Been quoted silly money for 2nd hand ones. oh and i've found TFR (traffic film remover) with wax makes the bike come up lovely too!
  16. Hi ya. Just thought i'd ask whats the best way to bring the shine back to tired plastics? Is it possible?
  17. Hi there, new to trials. need all the help i can get. any dvds you'd reccomend? where to buy from?
  18. Thanks for the help. Steve Saunders is closest, although i'm not sure where in Glos the training is? I've only ridden my little Tlm 3 times and i'm loving it.
  19. Hi ya. Im a trials beginner and thought some training woudn't go amiss. i wouldn't want to go to find i'm holding every one up so would it be suitable for me? I've raced motox and currently road race so i can ride but trials skills will do me no harm. Thanks
  20. yes it did. Having fun! Entered my first trial and i was rubbish. got so much to learn but thats half the fun.
  21. Hi there. I use R K Leighton in Birmingham. will make foam and cover for you. http://www.rk-leighton.co.uk/renovation.html hope this helps
  22. Hi ya. its an air cooled monoshock? discuss..... Gazza could i have a copy of the manuals. i will gladly pay for your trouble. also could you give me the part numbers for the inlet manifold and coresponding gasket, mine is perished so i need a new one. I've bodged it in desperation as i'm doing a trial this saturday.
  23. Hi all this is my first post having just purchased a Honda TLM 200f 1987 Having got the machine home i checked the bike and found the air filter to be junk! Called BAT motorcycles who have parts lists for TLM's Ordered OE filter
