try the spark plug cap from your sons bike, from what you have said it sounds exactly like mine was and all mine needed was a new plug cap, they seem to be a regular problem on the gassers
-
if its when the clutch is out but not in gear then its nothing to worry about it will do it, some bikes are louder than others but if you pull clutch in it should dissapear its because some of the stuff rattles and when ya pull clutch in it pulls it all tight i think

to me that would have been a clean, he dint tek his feet off the pegs! seen hell of alot of riders argueing about this subject but from my point of veiw if his feet are on the pegs then he is not touching the ground as such as all of the weight etc is on the bike in my opinion its not a dab, if he observed everyone the same though then at least hes consistant and not just doing it to certain people but i think there would be alot of these type of dabs at wtc level as i have seen many of videos and photos where the rider is like dougie

i got a new one for about 12 quid from haven

hey well ive had a gas gas 2006 bike for nearly two years now and it hasn`t fallen to bits, ive had to replace chains etc like on any other bike but there is only two problems and if you get a new one i would do them streightr away one is to weld the footpeg brackets up and make them stronger otherwise they may crack if you use the bike alot and ride hard and secondly i have also had to weld the brackets on the exhaust middlebox up as they snap aswell but am told they snap on quite a few bikes so thats not as much of a problem but get them strengthened aswell but overall i would say that they are just like any other bike, if you look after them they will look after you but if ya dont then they may well fall to bits as wid any other bike i suppose.
but overall i would say that gassers are a lovely bike and have sh*t loads of power once you get the throttle cracked open and feel so light and manouverible when riding they are awesome from my point of veiw

it could be something to do with the fact that water flows downhill so if it is a steep stream or any stream as a matter of fact then you are always going uphill so it will make the section harder? also i think that riding into the flow of water is easier to concentrate and see where you are going rather than riding with the flow and also if you drop your bike when the water is flowing in the same direction as you are going then youre gunna have a flooded bike so that might be something to do wid it aswell?

what i seem to do is ride up to the log really slowly and when you come to it compress your rear suspension and use throttle and clutch to lift the front with a little blip and the when the front log is above the log i seem to rev the bike more and dump the clutch as you do when splatting something but just dont lean back instead using the body to pull the bike up into yourself and then push it over the log, i seem to think that bunnyhopping something is easier when done slower ran than faster but thats just my personal opinion

yeah blown the carb and all the jets out with air line and soaked them in carb cleaner so nowt in there will try that tomorrow thanks! but i would of though if it was the kill switch it wouldn`t run at all??
-
its been doing it on sundey and it wont rev out fully at all but it has done it once before but i cleaned the carb out and it run fine again but its defo not carb this time
-

the reason why there is a shortage is because all the youths have to ride one so loads of youths have them
on the other hand all you can really do is ring around quite a few dealers around england and see if anyone has one by chance you may come across a decent one that hasnt been thrashed
-
what grade petrol are you using as this could be the reason for this knocking noise when backing off the throttle, try and get as high grade petrol or as close to 100 as you can and this should quiten it down abit but maybe not get rid of it totally
-
most noticable would probably be the flywheel weight but if you find the bike hard to start then the head spacer may be a good option, both would make it really really soft though if you want it softening alot
-
everyone has their good and bad days but i rekon he will be up at the top winning again in italy
-
they may be posted to you before next week hopefully but maybe next week if not (cant remember if they send results out for the bbq trial), there was a score board at the pub did you look at that? if you put your email onto the entry form then you should have had them by now

there is no where mate around your area as i live in s****horpe and there aint nothing legally that is apart from wilsons farm near barton(humber bridge). theres a bit illegally but its not great to be honest and probably isnt worth the risk. the nearest place to you would probably be matlock or aound that area as theres alot of areas to ride but its just the travelling am afraid.
p.s if you find anywhere please let me know.
-
its because the bike is ignting the fuel too early so its pushing the piston back down in the way it should really be coming up.
-
you need a new brake hose am afraid and the rear brake re bleeding as all of the pressure you are putting on the brake is been used to force the fluid out and not to move the pads so definitely a new rear hose, shouldn`t cost a fortune buts a pain of a job, as for the rattle it may be piston moving slightly in the barrel if the rings are warn or anything but i would get someone around you who has good knowledge of trials bikes to see what they think
-
maybe change the gear oil if its been in along time??
-
the part about grading isnt exactly true as i was told by someone from the acu that until you have won the championship for your class you cannot move up for instance a novice rider from the east midlands has to ride all the east midlands championships and win overall or come in second place overall for him to upgrade to an intermediate, just what ive been told butr every one just seems to grade themselves on what they think they are
-
hi techno thanks alot from that and yeh it was 20 quid from haven so not too bad, i was expecting them to be alot dearer as they are braided and all that
-
hi could anybody tell me the price of a brake or clutch hose as i have bust both of these and need new ones just wondering ewhat sort of price am looking at having to pay
-
you can test it by using a voltmeter or multimeter as they are known, you can buy these in any descent diy shop and the setting should be on dc volts i would say which is the one with a straight line with a v next to it if its owt like mine and put the two wires onto the end of the voltage regulator and probably kick the bike over and see if it has a reading and if it does that aint your problem (p.s dont worry if you get a negative reading its just the positive and negative wires the wrong way round)
-
could be something to do with the mixture or try a new plug if youve had it in along time
