  1. are there any other names of note???? I'm guessing Lampkin, Dabill, Brown, Wigg are all in.
  2. quite interested to find out my self. I check the ssdt web site every day for the entry list but according to the twitter feed we need to wait for the web master to get back from holiday in the alps. We await Highland Lassies input.
  3. I dont think sheffield will be shown live as it was a last minute addition to the world champs, I may be wrong tho. All the rest should be live.
  4. Tell me about it, I have just driven a 140 mile round trip and the neighbours can't make it in to work!!!!!!! (they work 8 miles away)
  5. I like the sound of his sister, you got her number??????
  6. what difference does it make having fat bars instead of the 7/8 ones, apart from the cross brace??????
  7. On a similar note have a look at this He has loads and they are all great
  8. just curious, and highland lassie has no doubt got better things to do at this time of year. but how are the entry stats this year compared with last?????
  9. if you can weld, cut it open replace the wool and weld it up again.
  10. well looks like I'm on the move again. I am moving back up to scotland elgin to be precise, in mid may. just wondering how often idmcc run trials? had a look at their web site but I think SACU are still finalising dates etc will I be ok with my ACU liscence or will I have to pay extra on entry fees? will I automatically be classed as non-expert, as I am inter at the mo? what route shall I ride??? So many questions. Can't wait to get some proper mileage in a lap
  11. good gear. My mate has and occasionally wears a bright purple and yellow 1 piece garabaldi suit. (dont you mr s kenny )
  12. got to be one of the most efficient engines in the world to get that amount of power from 280cc
  13. no actually, no ulterior motive (i'm not a woman ) was just thinking out loud. as you already have that kind of system in place I won't mention it again. (you shouldn't chat with dabster so much, it's starting rub off)
  14. a bit off topic but with regard to the helpers and observers, would it help to add an incentive for helping, ie guaranteed entry the following year for the helper or someone of their choosing, could give people who have never ridden it a little insight by taking their bikes over some of the moors to get to the sections, and ride the sections before or after the numbers go through. Just a thought
  15. believe me the road work is absolute bliss, after a couple of hours bench pressing your way across the hill the smooth black stuff gives a good rest.
  16. Rode it and rode it bloody well too. watching a bloke a good few years older than me on a much older bike getting up massive steps and passing me on the moor, respec
  17. yeah get the dvd cos what I didn't tell you was I can not ride in mud!!!!!! I'm normally the one sliding down the hill trying not to get knocked a*** over tit by the rapidly following motorcycle.
  18. Ryan young explains it in the second dvd. You pin the throttle open then the gradually let the clutch out, firstly just enough to get the wheels moving say for examples sake 5%, once moving as fast as it'll go at 5% increase to 10% and do the same again all the way upto 35-40% then let it fly. something like that anyway. The second ryan young vid is really good and explains it a whole lot better than me.
  19. cool idea would it be of any benefit on a trials iron? sod bleeding the brakes every time you take the front wheel off for a clean/punture/tyre change
  20. Loonal How do you think the t-ride would cope with enduro? would it be a good bike to commute to work on during the week then maybe try the odd enduro of a weekend??
  21. seen quite a few of his vids on you tube, unreal what he can do with a trials cycle apparently he is starring in the new vw golf estate ad.
  22. had a pair of the original diadora stone boots which were mega comfy and lasted about 3 years. moved on to Gaerne which were not as comfy but still reasonable. now I have a pair of diadora stone 3's with water proof sock and I must say they are the dogs dangley bits so comfortable it's like sliding your feet into a barrel of lady bumps, and I especially like the hardened in-step which lasts well even with titanium pegs and gives great support so no more achey feet
  23. Is it just me or does anyone else think it is a tad inappropriate that the x factor finalists are trying to raise money for a childrens charity by doing a cover of a MICHEAL JACKSON!!!! song?? Dont get me wrong I hope they get loads of money to help kids.
  24. I'm all for change and improvement, but I honestly think that battery technology will never be good enough. Hydrogen fuel cells, now thats the future!!!!
