  1. Andy whilst were on I have registered but can't get the password email through, checked spam etc and have requested another with no joy... Gav
  2. Ah I've been waiting for this moment since the 7th of May! Is it too early to order good weather?
  3. Get mine tomorrow! Great service by Gasgas and the big dealer in keighley!!
  4. Could be a blocked or faulty tank breather pipe, could be that there's not enough air getting in and creating a vacuum, after leaving bike for 10mins enough air has been drawn in for carb to refil... Just a simple one to check
  5. Hi, Im wanting to modify the standard chain tensioner on my 175. Im looking to make a new bracket on the underside of the swing arm (front middle ish). Im wanting to incorporate the new style chain block with the slanted side. Reason been after every time out I seem to be straightening the arm and I need more tension on the chain at all times. Has anyone done this already and is there a standard setup I can buy from another modern bike that will work so I can just design and weld the bracket? (with a little bending of the arm maybe). Cheers Gav
  6. Great vid, nothing wrong with the music, after all trials is going "urban", whether the oldies like it or not
  7. Buy longer bolts and make some spacers for underneath out of blocks of alloy... also it means that you can start with 15mm and work downwards. I have tried the S3 and you can notice the difference straight away (although only 6'2").. I found that they were really good until I took them off and it felt even better after taking them off, ride standard settings now.

    What carb

has the 200 kit made much difference? Also have you upgraded reed valves? Apologies if vim asking before you have had it running!
  9. I asked a very similar question couple of weeks back: http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/36519-new-4t-yam/page__pid__272485__st__15#entry272485
  10. Can't help with the kangaroo mate but can say get a vw caddy, you will never look back
  11. Whats the part like? Are you impressed with the quality? Is it worth the
  12. Ok, third time out today and first trial on the raga. Had last years raga and power wise the new one seemed to have more power (both 300's), think thats just its newness... however fitted the long S3 exhaust and now its very smooth and feels really good. So on to the rear shock... The trial I rode today I have been riding it every year for nearly 10 years, and section 2 is always at the same stream/waterfall (really good section). I have never got to the end without putting my feet down in any given year...until today. Bike seemed to be very planted, much more planted than the old one and when rattling up the initial stream bed before the step it just soaked up every bump but kept gripping. With the damping on the new shocker when hitting a double step theres not as much urgency to go again, you can almost ride with more delay/control - somehow feels like you have more time! Very impressed with the new shock! Never had an ohlins so cant compare but if there anything similar I wish I had got one years ago. Also sorted the sag, bottom linkage just needed tweaking up after the first time out. Downside: Only downside to the raga so far is that they have changed the chain guard so my boots are looking very tired even quicker and cow s**t doesnt half take some getting off the white forks.
  13. Mine are on "up side down" but the betor writing is the correct way up??
  14. Does this make any difference apart from the valves been more vulnerable? If so I better switch mine round!!
  15. Any ideas what the chain tensioner mod is? Does anyone think this is from another bike or just home made... looks like chain is kept really tight thats all, I could do with a better tensioner.. Overpriced?.....not really - My cup of tea?.....chain tensioner is
  16. Rode it for 3 hours and no complaints! Much better damping than standard! Does need the sag adjusting but guessing that's as it's just wearing in!
  17. Sounds like timing needs advancing... Move it slightly too far and it will pop and bang! Dead easy to try and costs nothing... Moving the points slightly to the right on the plate should do it - a hundredth of a mm .... Could be carb of course!
  18. Sounds like the carb needs to come off and be blown out with an airline! Then make sure the screw next to the tickover screw is set up right, probs wants to be 3turns out if ts a dellorto carb!
  19. Can't say for sure but think they changed this due to one end snapping off anyway..
  20. All cured but been rough with the kickstart can still make this happen! I'd be tempted to change the idle gear and just leave the kickstart as is! Need to find that metal before it jumps in the expensive side
  21. Check the idle gear sprocket that does nothing but links the kickstart to the clutch basket.. I had one with the slightest mark on the tooth of this sprocket and it rattled like hell! No idea why!
