Ok... but what is different is it the the timing?????? and if so what are the values of the timing.
2005 / 2006
---------------------------------------
Inlet Open 6 deg BTDC
Inlet Close 27 deg ABDC
Exhaust Open 30 deg BBDC
Exhaust Close 1 deg ATDC
Fact is that the partnumbers are equal
-
Does someone with a 2007 4RT can tell me what the service manual from the 2007 says about the valve timing, and what these values are ?
They say that the 2007 Mont has another camshaft, but in the 2007 partslisting the part number is the same as in the partslist from a 2005 montesa.
-
take a look at www.fantic.nl and you will know what type and year it is.
-
A zero is a zero. You can use the values from a 2 map program for a 1 map body
-
You have to change the maps delivered with the 280 kit. I heard from several people who where disapointed when they had installed the kit. After changing the maps it goes like a rocket.................
Perhaps the laia Sanz map which is going around on this forum.
You can't use the wrong software because when you are sending or receiving a map to the PTB, the software does a check if you use the correct software and PTB together.
Look in you .e2p file with notepad or any other textviewer, and take a look at line 1001700.
The file is build with hexdecimal characters (use your windows calculator and switch to scientific mode)
:10017000 20 20 4E 4E 41 34 4B 4F 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 94 Single map
4E 4E 41 34 4B 4F => Means NNA4KO (Hex 41 is Dec 65 which is in the ASCII list an A)
:10017000 32 20 4E 4E 43 34 4B 4F 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 80 Dual map
4E 4E 43 34 4B 4F => Means NNC4KO (Hex 43 is Dec 67 which is in the ASCII list an C)
The A or the C makes the difference
The last characters 94 and 80 are CRC checks.
This line is the reason that you must use different software for the two body's !!!
I have also tried using dual map software for the single map body but it failed. There is a transmission of data but because of the check it can't be displayed in the software. With special monitoring tools you can analyze the data transport and grab or send it in an other way, but this is risky because the software protects you against wrong data.

The 307 has an Up Side Down front fork so the front guard will not fit even the 200 is different. The front guard of the 240 looks the same as the one from the section.
-
Yes that's also possible, but i want to keep the original parts as they are.
-
Yes it has 4 fixing points just like the original.
Bisides the larger intake opening to get easier much more air with less resitant to the airbox for a nice colored spark it is stronger, it doesn't bend.
I don't make this things for selling it. You have an example and perhaps you make it by yourself.
-
Same problem, i have made a larger air-intake problem solved. Thanks to Jo4RT

Here some pictures from the 2008 models:

Yes i have,
I have bought one for mine Montesa 4RT. It is really a big difference. It is much better adjustable, and you feel the changes much better then the original. It is also very progressive and after a few hours of riding it is still working 100 %.
For the Cota there are two different springs available for the TRP shocker.
I can only tell buy it and feel it, if you don't like the original one!!!
-
I did a complete restauration look for pictures at www.fantic.nl
-
Yes he does. Mitani is the backdoor of HRC
-
Look at mine site www.fantic.nl
I have scans of the decals from 1995 section, i can send them to you at the end of the week, because i'am not at home at this moment.
-
The size of the seals is : 47 x 35 x 10 or 7 Rst and 47 x 35 x 10 or 7 R take a look at the following page from my site this are part for a 303 but many parts of a 300 and 303 are equal.
Link to my site www.fantic.nl

Yes Lee it is running and much better then before, other jetting makes the difference.
And yes indeed No fridge or cold Stella. If you want a cold one go to Peter schwarz in Germany, nice guy with a large fridge and it is never empty.
He is the main supplier for a lot of parts which i needed for mine restoration.
URL of the site is : www.fantic.nl
Two pictures of Fantic number two.

Does anybody have tried to hack the bodies, because the default body has two maps, one for road registration purpose and one for riding competition. The second one is enabled when disabling the lights, or cutting the white/green thread in the main light connector.
The information i have is that a guy who had bought a HRC 260 kit (cylinder, piston, camshaft and switch) had to send his original body to the factory in spain where they modified the two maps for use with the 260 cylinder and switch on the handlebar.
On the internet is a lot of information find how to modify ECU's for Honda autocars, but not for Cota's.
-
Does someone have an manual available belonging to the two stage software for the 2 stage programmable throttle body ?
-
I have also the same problem, Jitsie hangers with Hebo pegs. By the 4RT you don't have push to hard on the kickstart
-
Montesa importer for the Benelux does also an rebuild of your tank same price as TRW
Motrorhuis Thijs
-
for my Fantic303 I had a spare wheel which I have used later in my Fantic305.
Only had I the rearsprocket something turn out (with a lathe)
because the hub of 305 is broader then a 303 hub.
The Fantic 307 has the same hub as a 305 so
with a small adaptation it is therefore possible.
-
I had the original steel plates replaced with the jitsie plates, but no result the clutch keeps on dragging even with the recommend HTX740 oil. Now that i have replace the friction plates for new ones the clutch is terrific.
The motor starts in gear and its easy the get it in the free.
I think that the problem is that the friction plates become too smooth so that they stick together.
Changes with other or larger master brake cilinder will not have result.
-
Lee, are you sure i think it is 32 x 1,25 mm. all 250 of 300 up to 305 have ab pitch of 1,25 mm.
