Josh's bike might a well be a single speed, he never uses any thing but 1st gear in the sections anyway. He's riding the Intermediate line an doing very well at it.
His bike will pull in 2nd gear if he needs it, I guess it's because of the guy who broke his bike in!!!
-
Yes we are going to YN, sent the entry in a couple of days ago. Plan on traveling Teusday so I can ride in the gate trial on Wensday.
Josh finally has come to life he finished last in March, first in April and second in May, It's amazing how much different he is riding now. When we go out to practice he's doing everything that I can do now.
Well good luck to Homer, hope it heals fast. See you in a month John.
-
I use a cap full in both of our Pro's
Great pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Hey John how's Homers wrist??????????
-
I run a 42 pilot in my son's 06, with the mixture screw about 1 1/2 turns. Throttle response is very good!!!
-
Yeah thats the place!!!!!!!! A drop or two will do.
Post some more mountain riding pictures!!! There always fantastic.
-
Pull the rubber protecter away from the rear of the fan, put a couple of drops of oil on the end of the fan shaft problem solved!!!!!!
A spray lubricant will also work [WD40 or such] and it will not harm the fan.
-
I look and see if I still have them.
-
A computer fan is the way to go, I found a computer outlet store and purchased 10 of
Them for less than $20.00. I think I still have a couple left.
The clutch can be made to respond very quickly with no lag. The clutch has 3 steel plates in it, 2 thin ones and 1 thick one, replace 1 of the thin ones with with another thick plate. It worked wonders on ours anyway!
It's been a long time but I think the details are correct. The only special tool that you need is a thinwall socket to loose the clutch hub, I made mine by turning down a regular socket.

Excellent post Jay!!!!
And Mark you really should stop holding all this in or you will EXPLODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Ryan's display at the dealer show was fantastic!!!!!!!
The new XC-Ting helmet seem to fit well and are very light! Sizes are off little, usually wear a Large but the medium fit perfect.. Ryan said availability in April or May!
-
I'm not trying to start a pi**ing match with Grumpy old man but you English guys have it made with the amount of TRIALS helmet choices you have.
I really want a Airoh, but at over $300 dollars it darn better be light, fit well and have good venilation! Hey I run the parts department at a Yamaha shop so I am well aware of our choices and they are pretty thin at this time.
So anyway Grumpy old man give us a break if we ask Questions about the weight, fit and air flow we are just seaching for answers!

But most of them are FIM certified and that complies with NATC rules. NZI, the Shoei trials, The Arai trials,NAU,Premier,Airoh,Hebo,Matrix ect. not one of these are DOT certified but all are FIM certified.
-
I called TLD about that very helmet, they told me that it is not intended for motorcycle use. I asked him if they were going to get the helmet DOT certified ? they said that they had no intention of doing that, it was only for extreme sport use

8mm head bolts 18 foot pounds
6mm head bolts 9 foot pounds
I always use grease on the o-rings to hold they in place.

All the TY 175's imported into the US all had a 525 frame and engine number. TY 175'S were only imported in 1976/76, I don't know if the ones imported in to England had the same frame number.
-
My i.d book shows that it is an 1982 model. Frame numbers started at 13E-000101.
Hope that helps

The shift shaft center locater and spring is broken. The cases have to be split to replace it, there are 2 springs and roller on the shaft , 1 of them is broken. There is a picture on page 44 of the Gas Gas parts book.
-
Brian that was perfect!!!!!!!!!
Made me laugh out loud anyway!!!!!!
-
Sorry I should have checked the wiring diagrams before I spoke. My sons bike was an 03 and it was the DC inverter that went bad not the regualtor.
-
Take the wires out of the connetor on the old regulator and use it on the new one. I had to do the same thing on my son's bike. Use a small pin punch or similar tool to remove the wire ends from the connector
