That was hilarious.
Were you a big hit with the ladies?..........."Honest love it was cold that day"
You've got Cajones as they say.
-
WOW!!!!
Those are some GREAT finishes!!!!
I am so bummed out that I could not go.
Darn surgery and that pesky wife of mine didn't want me to overexert myself before being fully recovered.
Just so there is no strange speculation, I had my sinus cavities fixed.
HI FANTICMATZE WELCOME BACK TO THE STATES!!
-
Hey you talkin' bout me??
Yep Cost is a factor especially for those cheap *******s out there like me.
Yes the NATC does do a lot of hard work to put on a national series.
Yes there is MUCH volunteering going on that goes on without very many saying thank you. (Always remember to Thank the Observers)
I attended 2 rounds in Ohio in 2007 Had a blast, great events, Although I did not see anything off the top off my head that would scream what a great deal at $100/ round. I think at the time entry fees were $75 I may be wrong (bad memory) So that may be a reason attendance dropped off in 2008. So with the comment of
Does this means that any price is justified? So entry fee of $300/ round is OK without question.
It is human nature to question value for dollar spent. Especially for a sport that has absolutely no possibility of winning back your entry fee.
Now don't take this completely wrong I still think out of all the motor sports out there trials is the cheapest to participate in, but also the only one with no pay back, (monetarily anyways.)
Some of us are just curious where the money goes. It is possible we may never know. It may just be none of our business
But we all also want to know why was gas up to $4.25/ gallon and where did that money go?
-
OH they have found you...........They just don't want you. They are tracking you to make sure they stay away from you.
-
I once covered my Sherco in Pink Camouflage just for a laugh. It worked, I got many laughs and questions about my preferences in "partners"
And no major problems with my 2000 Sherco 2.9. Just normal maintenance and the occasional broken lever etc....
Did do a rebuild last winter. So 7 or 8 yrs before a rebuild not bad.
My biggest complaint is with the skid plate mounts not being beefy enough (I modified mine) but I think thats been sorted in the newer bikes.
-
HMMM well I'm out, was gonna suggest the NZI trivent.
It's what I got,
I like the lightness and the venting is nice on hot days, a tad bit chilly in cooler weather.
And after 3 yrs now It really STINKS to high heaven. The innards are not removable to wash. Been using Fabreeze antibacterial on it. Helps a little.
-
Woo Hoo!!!
LOVE IT!!
Got to level 16 after 35 mins. and had to pack it in
-
Yep it's a start, the other $25 will help cover the other stuff.
I don't think advertising is one of those expenses........ Did my inner monologue get out?
-
them guys are totally nuts. But all are excellent riders.
I noticed a higher percentage of 4t's than here in the states.
at about 2:18 in this vid dude gets quite a "stop and step off" He was looking good up to that point.
-
Well, I think I caught the "phone call" thingy on youtube.
And quite frankly that is tame (unless I missed something worse than so an so "did it with your granddaughter) compared to what passes as "Morning radio entertainment" here in the States.
I don't necessarily agree that they should have done it........but if you don't like it don't listen and when the listeners disappear so will their jobs.
-
OH MY GOD!!! I have finally found somebody else that has the same problem as me. I can't find the earth either.
-
OK Biff,
there is only one disturbing thing about your post............. You want to have me meet your parents. I am so surprised that you would actually admit to family members that you know me.
You forgot to mention the rounds at the TTC. That sounds like a blast also.
If only my dreams come true.
-
Harder??? or do you mean more exciting??
-
UUUMMM dare I say starter fluid and a lighter????? to get the tubeless rear back on.
OK it was a joke. Where is your sense of humor or is it humour?
Tomato or Tomatoe Where is Dan Quale when you need him??
-
-
agree with Ishy
I don't have an issue with land use, camping and etc... fees. But Each venue seems to be different in fees and you are unaware until you get there or just prior to event.
How about a standard land use, camping and parking fee. These are paid with the entry fee. That way riders know up front what the cost is and only have to shell out at one time.
Spectators can pay at the gate.
Just an opinion.
-
Any idea of the entry fees for the 2009 National series?
-
-
Does it run without the choke on.
I am thinking possible that it is sucking air in from somewhere, making it run lean and therefore you need to choke it to give it more gas. This makes for a very uncontrollable idle (tickover).
For air leak check center case gasket, base gasket, crank seals (flywheel side, but if bad just change both) and reed cage gasket.
My 2000 290 had a chunk of center gasket missing between the barrel and reed valves causing it to run lean.
Just a thought.
-
Hey the only reason I got 2nd was because 2 of the top guys moved up and 1 didn't show.
Well, OK I did ride pretty good, was having a lot of fun. Had a Great time, all my 5's were stupid mistakes as usual
but I did have some cleans and quite a few 1's. so Either I am getting better or the sections were eased up.
LOVED the Culvert section, that gap was cool. I watched Firstgear's nephew do the gap his first lap, looked awesome he did a great job. He really made sure he was gonna make it across........only problem.....he overshot A LOT and went outside the ribbon.
Biff,
The cow was KICK ASS!!!
You do have a great imagination, you make events even more fun.
-
WOO HOO!!!
Great event, Had a Blast!!!!
The trophies are awesome, Thanks 29r for taking the time to make them.
I actually was able to receive one of them (2nd). yep I know a shocker.
Hey firstgear how did you enjoy riding expert? You had a respectable score at the end of the day.
-
WOO HOO!!!!!
chalk one up to the Motorcycle Crowd.
Great News Brockway!!!!
See ya'll Sunday.
-
AAWWW where is your sense of Adventure (Stupidity) just wear shorts!!
Oh yea exhaust header pipes are hot!!!
On a more serious note:
Do the knee pads actually provide a fair amount of protection to make them worthwhile to wear?
Or is it more of a mental boost. You feel more secure therefore more confident, therefore less mistakes.
I really like the sixsixone ankle braces that I use but I think they are more of a "security blanket" than actual protection.
If I am not wearing them I just don't feel right. and lose a bit of confidence.
-
-
Wooo hooo
I should ride Expert that day.
OH wait better Idea Firstgear should ride Expert.
That way my last place will be 4th instead of 5th.
