i spoke to the ohlins shock guy and he said for anyshock to work on continuous usage it needs a reservoir, thats what he has on all the works bikes, pretty sure fuji had it on his bike when they tore it down at shefield one year.
-
Does the 280 above have a standard rear sprocket and is the swinging arm standard length?
-
For a bike to be perfect it must have few if any faults, I think the x lite is in need of several modifications and a way off perfect.
-
I dont follow this argument at all which is why I asked such a facetious question. If the wtc does something the federations may or may not follow suit. Even if (big if) they do we would all have underweight bikes at club level and above are these bikes to be banned? Would he manufacturers make heavier bikes because the wtc says so or as they will im sure this year just add lead to bring the bikes up to weight?
For example how would beta increase their weight? The frame is fine and has a hydroform mould would they change that? if not what else? and who would pay for this increase in cost to develope a heavier bike? what components would you make heavier to make more reliable?
-
our fuel is fine from the pump cope over here.
-
Kramit tell us how a lump of lead on the bashplate may help reliability, it'll be real good usa lead btw.
-
I run 65 to 5 ltrs but that shouldnt make much difference, its worth noting that the needle height works only for the first 1/3 rd of throttle opening I think.
-
I got a reigar shock made for my sherco in 2007 it was a transformation as the standard shoch was absolutely crap with the spring tension the only adjustment.
set up and a good shoch are underestimated even for us club riders.

-
As i stated before when ragas bike was too light lead was added just in front of the linkage, so james is right, our bikes wont be any heavier anytime soon.
-
if it says 2014 available soon and prices i guess as the importer (and its nearly 2015 model time) thats pretty conclusive.
Besides as its very clearly an orange sherco doesnt that also count too?
-
my biggest complaint on my raga 250 (much the same as std 2014) is the silly in board rear wheel adjusters, apart from that no issues. best bike ive ever owned and may well keep it for another year.
-
yes i think so as they havnt sold any bikes in the uk and they just appear at euro shows guess i should send you my address so you can send me the brown?
-
Considering most sections in the uk are in NON SALT STREAMS is it really a problem? when was the last trial you did dad of 22222222222222222 on salted roads? And lastly how many raga reps were sold?
Scaremongering in the extreme!
-
As the stated aims are winning competitions at the top level I guess that your wish for any kind of heavyweight bike wont be coming soon and a tenner says that it will have added weight for wtc events.
-
I dont think theres a perfect answer to your question, its probably how you set up any bike more than anything else.
Any 2 stroke will be the same, as if you soften a big motor the gas gas 300 will have mountains of torque and can really rev so would give you great range in each gear?
I had a go on a beta 4t 250 yesterday and you can ride really low down in 2nd which would work.
The only thing against a 4rt would be getting a decent one for your money and the tickover being fairky high.
The unpopular 280 softened up may give gret value for money.
My thoughts fwiw is you will have to spend time on setup whatever bike.
Just to confuse things I wouldnt rule out 2t 250's as most can really rev so you get a long range in most gears.
-
You might get a second hand gear from allen spares.
-
most likely a water pump seal.
-
Milky oil is an easy and cheap fix pretty sure 250 and 300 are same bottom end anyway?
-
I think that as the bike (4rt) has been around for so long is it 9 years its probably profitable, as long as you dont take into account bous teams expaenses?
-
The comerford bikes never had this i think you are thinking of vestys one offs later on, the usual thing was add 30 mm twice.
-
uses a sherco front pipe i dont like this.
-
credit for trying definately yes just as all the others deserve credit for keeping going. I just ask myself why and how?
Triumph make a trials bike, they run a profitable business dont they?
-
..and then in the 90's they werent there anymore.
