  1. I feel you are repeating yourself and the similarities to KTM and Husqvarna are tenuous in the extreme, and do not relate at all to their history, industrial position or markets. Clearly as the Sherco importer you are pushing and advocating their subsidiary, which smells of commercialism.
  2. But what has that to do with the scorpa in particular and the trials market in general? Surely as far as we are concerned an extra company in our crowded market isn't good for anyone? I would argue we have as much choice now as ever we have at any given time since 1965. Ossa Jtg Montesa and Scorpa will all struggle to sell any kind of quantity this year. There are no extra buyers out there.
  3. Honda by the fact that they have not let BVM sell the bikes have brought about this situation. They a) don't understand the trials market and don't value the fact that as an ex works montesa rider having sold hundreds of the bikes over the years is not valued enough to be a dealer. I cannot think of one single reason why BVM would have one there?
  4. So few players? wtf do you mean?
  5. There you go. We have all done similar things usually through lack of experience. My suggestion is that however silly/simple it may seem please ask how to do a job before doing it. youll soon get the hang of it anyway. Its important to keep on top of things, with a gasser. You may now need a new gasket, but certainly somethings moved in there if you cant identify whats wrong post a photo. Well done for having a go though.
  6. Ive never had a problem after fettling any bike that wasn't related to something Ive done wrong. However for the lever action to change without even running the bike is a mystery, and difficult to diagnose without being there. Run us through exactly what you did, please. where are you btw?
  7. Not made any for a couple of years.
  8. By not turning it yourself you are almost definitely waiting too long to get it turned. In the southern mud its usually turned once the first edge has gone. I've never met anyone who could get on a bike and tell if it was fitted with or against the arrow. But. I always fit mine the right way to start!
  9. Remember rathmell at a national with his 349 in and out of gear 50 times before a section dropping the clutch to make sure it wouldn't pop out. as above that's what the're like.

    2012

This seems good value http://www.offroadmart.com/category/305/PETROL-TRIALS-BIKES-FOR-SALE/listings/934/OSSA-TR280-2012.html is there anything to worry about with a 2012?
  11. Both if you can, or save your money and do as DJ and me and get a racing 250!
  12. Its spelt Barcelona. Except the plant where trials bikes are assembled is in Caldes de Montbui about 30 k from the Catalan capital. (FYI http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caldes_de_Montbui)
  13. So in year 2000 Sherco sold 2000 "non trials" bikes I would respectfully suggest you come up with some facts before everyone laughs at your ridiculous statements. I had a new Sherco every year from 2001 to 05 and visited the factory in 04, I doubt you even knew what a Sherco was then.....
  14. Boris wtf? All models what? They don't make as many Enduro bikes as trials? As baldilocks says he doubts 10 k for everyone and I'm guessing hes very right. Do the math, Catalonia would be in a very healthy economic position if one very small industry generated 25 million in export sales.
  15. (we are talking Gas Gas??) Be very surprised if Baldilocks is wrong. A dellorto is a good carb for the 250 and the Kehin doesn't work as well as for the 280 and 300. Give the Dellorto a really good clean check float levels are set at 18.5 and the banjo filter is clean. Air filter spotless?
  16. I believe its a warranty item.
  17. Does sherco sell 10,000 units?
  18. so will you be buying one?
  19. What I cant understand is where they get enough money to make these things, unless its Sherco leftovers in a different colour?
  20. Are you saying Scorpa is the luxury brand of Sherco.
  21. Why bother? The sherco is very similar with proven pedigree. unless its £500 cheaper who other than the odd oddball will buy one. My guess is they will sell less than the 4rt, and jotagas.
  22. They are noisy in a much different way to 2 strokes. Conversly to you shedracer I have found a few lads who prefer the Beta to the 4rt. Accesibility to dealers may have something to do with that...........
