  1. where does the money come from for jotagas? pol is in his second year at juniors, are you saying he's moving up to the top route?
  2. as gary mac wasnt there that would be ross then?
  3. speak to dealer, if no luck name and shame on here..........
  4. Gary mac didnt ride why? If its distance then why should the entire entry bar him ever go to fort william again, its a countrywide competition and people know this at the start, its only 6 rounds so its not a great committment IF the trials are what the riders want. I see ben wibberlys has already voted with his feet, phil disney choose to ride stop allowed in france, shall i go on?? If its costs then the acu should run three weekends of double headers. Traditional holiday? Schools havent broken up yet? Did you go?
  5. A total of only 40 riders and only 16 in the new style top route.
  6. Reducing the severity(and rules) has resulted in the lowest entry at the round in Devon so whats the answer now?
  7. See btc pool was undertaken after scarborough, results eleswhere.
  8. Was it just riders that took the poll?
  9. frontera plates are thinner not too sure about alpina, if they fit its fine. Gives a better clutch in the sherpa, btw.
  10. A red herring. In France for example it was clear that all bikes would be weighed at technical inspection on the friday, a better option would be somewhere out on the course without notification. the other rule that is broken is re fuelling on the course both ragas and bous bikes have very small capacity tanks.
  11. I did much the same after a ten year "holiday" but soon found fettling an old twinshock not the best way, bought a modern bike and never looked back.
  12. Wish I could hold the front wheel on and squirt up a double step but thats the beaty of a big bore bike imo that it suits an old fart like me softened a little as well as an expert. The fact that I have always preferred the 290 sherco reinforces my thoughts. i think the 300 is a great bike but feel a tweak here and there gives me the bike I want everything I have done is to help softness and smoothness at the bottom including the right boysens, whereas a 250 doesnt. I think most agree the 280 is something else?
  13. so which kids you know wont go because toni's not there?
  14. No not at all, I have reasnoble throttle control and have had the white tube on every bike I've had in the last ten years, its something I have got very used to and do not regard it as fast but "standard". I do think it stems back to where I come from as here you need full throttle to burn through mud and a white tube is much easier to use with a spinning back wheel. i also feel as a benchmark that if someone feels a slow one is better they need to spend time perfecting their throttle control. No running issues, not sure i understand the question?
  15. i dont think him there will matter to many, the increase in chance of a different winner will more than make up for it if not make it better.
  16. exactly my thoughts and purchase, i have softened mine with long pipe and low comp head which is easy/cheap to do on an older bike. i would never use a slow throttle btw.
  17. will be a better competition if hes not?
  18. he is injured? just no point if he's won? 6 indoors 6 outdoors
  19. Untill he gets fed up he can continue, interestingly it looks like he will miss the round in carlisle. My guess is 4 years if he wants it.
  20. makes you wonder with the forecast if any other events will get the elbow?
  21. try this guy he has alot of 2nd hand spares 01933314145 richard
  22. The urban myth of "all these bikes lying in sheds" is just that and applys to all bikes of all ages. There must be thousands of bikes somewhere but where?
  23. virtually all the failures were on bikes of the top lads or ones that could put the bikes frame under serious stress
