How could Dabil and Brown not win under any rules?
Only if they trip up if the sections are made so easy and either one has a slip up?
Would that not be sure to ailenate the top few that are still doing it?
If you want more numbers (whatever the rules) just make the championship easier?
there are more riders in the top class because there are two routes, and the top route has been made easier because there are no minders?
-
Isnt there a mono engined sherco forked twinshock Bliss thing around?
-
.........or just give them a piece of paper and a sae which they could write their answers to questions down on the way home, and a questionnaire at the end of the year?
-
Again Minder and Tricky have said the word/phrase success, what is the success you are after? Define PLEASE!
Minder, Scarborough is not "more" suited to a BTC than any other venue I've been to, possibly you meant more suited to no stop?
-
Eddie
Some would describe a guy that has tried to copy a Sherco call it a greeves have a strange press launch, fail to get a development rider full time, not try to improve the original prototype over 3 years and not listen carefully to several well known riders, various things.
I say well done to JTG its a fair question put here and there has been an explaination.
Its a good bike by all accounts but lets give them time to get it right if there is anything wrong, their policy of few bikes at a time may be well thought out.
Regardless of the economic situation, pariticularily in Spain, time will tell for all the new bikes, and reliability is everything.

Having seen the oliveras ossa perform in the French WTC I doubt its not as powerful, in fact I would guess only Ragas seems to take off as well. Torquewise the beta may have the edge, but boy does that Ossa go.
-
......or conversly they both did poorly in Aus last week, compared to this result and that was because of no stop?
-
This is a red herring why do all trials have to go no stop?
Its not the point of the discussion here, and you contiually miss the point again mentioned a few posts up that the youngsters brought up on stop allowed prefer it to stay.
-
What I'm thinking is that a capacitor to jump to batteries seems a big leap, although clearly working, so is there a halfway where enough charge would give good results say second kick?
-
This is what worries me more than anything as both stop and no stop will claim it has/has not been a success and we will be no further on? I think you alluded to it at the end and my feelng is that an elite short series may be the only way to get the top lads to compete on tough sections in a Btc, and simply accept that these lads are just so much better than the rest it doesnt matter how wide the goal posts are only so many can score from 80 yards away.
-
why does the capacitor work, but not very well?
-
acu licence as well, one year they were hot on kill buttons.
-
Again great to get Johns answer, opinion and facts, but my question that hasn't been clearly answered is, What at the end of 2012 will measure whether the change to no stop has been a success?
-
maps are uploaded via a special lead and software.
-
Thats where the observer was (at end of section), no punch cards in the SSDT.
-
it was a rip roaring success last year superb sections and packed with spectators. some club trial!
over subscribed last year by 22 so entries are without question at this round, down.
Has a rule change at this venue generated anything really positive?
-
Is graham Jarvis a National qualified acu registered c o c?
-
think you forgot the deep fried mars bar?
-
Entries are not up, they are down there was a limit put on last years event, this year with two classes there will be more in the top route. (not sure why youre not riding it richard?)
how the clerk of the course cannot be there I dont know.
If the importers are desperate for it to be a success then why have they all not got big displays, demo riders spot prizes for their best non supported rider etc etc????????????

I would check the timing on the 340 as electronic wont make it run any better than properly set up points.
It may be that your electronic is set at 2.9 btdc?
-
I rode a 2011 and thought it very soft not zippy enough, havent been on a 2012.
-
good idea, i think its not a surprise but more a reflction on how trials is/has changed that different rooutes are essential.
-
Water wont help cramps, if you have low blood sugar during riding you need to eat, small amounts and often. All professional cyclists take on food so I think eating is fine if you need to.
I have had great success with sis go which has hydrolytes.
