  1. you should start with no sponge under tank and fill from there. this keeps the seat tight in place.
  2. I dont think there is confusion, its you thats got it mixed up like so many others. Much the same as 99% of us its the trials and trialing we love not the rules its run under. I am absolutely sure that James Pune and Alexz think six days riding in one of the best trials is a great way to spend a week and the achievement for winning must be very very satsfying. Coincidentally the rules are no-stop. I can never recall anyone of them asking for stop allowed because they (I assume accept and understand) without much thought that its the way it is and for the majority its better at an event which nearly died and also the sections lend themselves to no stop. Why then cant they have just six elite btc events on fim rules defeats me.
  3. by play do you mean a little movement at the bottoming out? Was the clutch problem formula related?
  4. sponge under back? original seat was made for ally tank in the uk
  5. why do they not rate high enough? Remind me where sheppard rode? Would jack ride btc if it were tdn qualification?
  6. programmeable is great if you get the right person on the keyboard
  7. drop down to a 250 first, a 125 requires greater rider input.
  8. think the quality of my 2012 gasser matches my 2010 evo.
  9. I'm very against the reversion to old rules for just the elite six events, the British championship on a closed cicuit should be a spectator event more than any other trial, I doubt alot of the comments above have been made by people who have attended more than the odd event recently, if at all. The last few I have been to have had many riders and families watching, because they want to watch our countries best tackle some big stuff. The success or otherwise cannot be measured on numbers as last year there was a limit on riders (3 rounds over subscribed) so what is the measure of whether it works or not? I would say that if Dibs cleans 35 of 36 sections and finishes 3rd, the severity is wrong. As for the comparison with previous scores at this round the c o c clearly got the severity very wrong at that event and it has nothing to do with any version of the rules, moreover it was events like that which speeded the demise of entries. Until the ACU/clubs promote the events properly they will not be a shop window to our sport which they should be under whatever set of rules. Perhaps enabling James Fry for example to loose 50 odd on the top route is a good thing, but can someone explain why? I would feel much more comfortable if someone had set out the criteria for a rule change and how success/failure could be measured, otherwise the argument will go round in circles for a very long time. I also think that with Riders like Sheppard Challoner Richardson not there (why?) it diminishes the validity of the championship and tdn qualification should be via the BTC.
  10. Youll have a good time, stock up on fuel the nearest petrol station is in Gueret, got a good <mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central> if youre not camping makes sure you have paperwork and working lights (bed and breakfast!!!!)
  11. Bear in mind the 199b can come with femsa or motoplat, for reasons woody states above.
  12. http://www.segundamano.es/anuncios-las-palmas/motos/trial/?ca=35_s&w=1&th=1&f=a&q=trial&c=6&x=1&fc=&sb=&ps=&pe=&st=s look at these
  13. 2500 euros for a 5 year old sherco sounds too much too. Whats the spanish for have your cake and eat it?
  14. I got a little bottle of 2 stroke with my husqvarna chainsaw and that is exactly 130ml which is right for 10 ltres.
  15. for a couple of years there has been a practise lap where they have a ride in the sections, not too sure why.
  16. None on podium, none in the older class.
  17. this is mine http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6510037/Trail/searchtext%3EPOP+UP+GAZEBO.htm
  18. we have four capable riders at top level and they have a great oppurtunity to rise right up the rankings as all the others (excluding Bou) drop away due to age. I personally think the one that works hardest will rise to the top.
  19. Gubian is not that good I would say Dabill is better than him now, but he has been lucky in his bike choices lately but always played second fiddle to wiggy till last two years. TBH all our lads should beat him if not this year then next for sure. Pune is the one under the spotlight here i feel as his teammate. I personally think jack will go better having not had the distraction of the indoors. What I worry about is why the European championships dont feature young british riders. Worrying that we have no podiums at all......
  20. sheppards press release didnt say that last week?
  21. Ferrer has been injured for a year but is back on form, gubian has progressed every year since his cruciate injury maybe 4 years since. Bruand bethune and 3 or 4 others i cant remember off hand like the spanish youngsters gomez gibert etc have all faded away, for one reason or another. Since and including dabill English riders have absolutely dominated the youth and junior wtc, and if they can keep at it they can surpass gubian the top frenchman at world level.
  22. got one from a mate that works at argos and its really good. One person can put up and down though its easier with 2 or more. Cost me £25 but thnkthey are double that in the catalogue, about 3m square I think, fold down really small too.
  23. The european championship (adult) had no british competitors, why? Where was jack shepard and jono richardson?
