Most Worked On Work's Bike......
To be honest they aren,t. they werent even a full 300 wiggys bike was 272cc, they chopped about at the swinging arm for no good reason the shockers weren't that good and ti bolts dont make it special. Gearboxes are standard as was clutch forks never had anything done to them and the mechanics really weren't very good, all from personal experience with them at wtc.

198B Angine - Differences? Flywheel?
I cant share that opinion, back then the 340 always seemed much better to me, i had a new 250 in 79 and then upgraded to a 325 in 81 it was much better, I think they were always great on big climbs and graded hills and spinning through mud.

Reading Between The Lines
.....because its 2012 not 1912. Things have moved on,ssdt is a reliability trial, we are talking btc. Whilst tyres may well be a good idea to reduce severity clearly thats not necessary as you can mark an easier trial anyway. Besides the point that we cant go it alone on a fundamental rule such as this, would a change like that put one more bum on a seat?

Reading Between The Lines
Very interesting and passionate as always John, I have always beeen a great supporter of the ACU and will continue to do so. Having spoken to Gary Thompson (at our trials pratice area here in mk) I can only say how impressed I was by him and his views and hope this good work continues. Can I gather from your (long!) response that the number one aim of the rule change is to get more riders in the Full championship class? You also mentioned economies of competing in the championship is it too obvious to run two day events 3 times rather than 6 events?

Reading Between The Lines
This is where a rule change has less to do with the argument as c o c marking out badly? If you are interpreting rules, then its a bad choice of section marking, more than which rules? Or are you saying no stop would demand a more reasnoble section? OR (sorry!) no stop is more difficult for marking sections in our centres?

Reading Between The Lines
So clearly exceptional cicumstances had made it easy just the same as in Kinlochleven it went the other way in 2010 was it? ie nothing to do with either set of rules.

07 290 Wont Start After Cleaning Carb
the float level is the amount of fuel available for the carb, too little and it will starve the engine of fuel, and opposite.

I havnt been for a few years mainly because its a victim of its own success and more that when it rains the organisers dont cope well.

Flush through the hydraulic fluid if its got formulae. Currently running 3.0 slide and 48 pilot, Boyesen reeds helped alot.

2012 Gas Gas Models?
If you have isolated it to one pair then swap those. pretty sure there are good bearing companies in Northampton.

4 Jours Of Creuse
Bottled water is fine any brand throughout europe never had a problem. Petrol be sure to pay for it on the long loop day, they refuel you a way out. Averyon, i did the 4 day in the springtime it was like a road race in parts they seemed to by pass all the good sections and didnt undrstand that going 50mph through towns was stupid. Lots of queing too with top riders pushing in.Worst Trial I've seen or done abroad.

Reading Between The Lines
It is not proven by the numbers at all. It was the first round. It was on ssdt sections and no stop. there was no limit on entries and the numbers were the same as over half the rounds last year. Open free is a dead duck and Spain has quickly gone back to FIM rules.

2012 Gas Gas Models?
The bearings are as good as any other if not better, they have covering washers and seals,on one sherco it didnt even have oil seals. Its more down to maintenance and how you pressure wash in that area tbh. Certainly there is not a better set up on a trials bike.

07 290 Wont Start After Cleaning Carb
Check foat level is 18.5 the cable might not be in the slide right or cable popped out above carb? As copey says always flick the throttle as a habit an especially important when refitting a carb.
