Before we all go off on one as both Baldilocks and myself earlier in the thread have pointed out the obvious, where the IOW is.
It is always going to be hard on these lads to the same extent that Gary mac (and many others) must have had returning to FW last sunday night.
My thoughts are that if you get a round, it may well be that someone on the committee has said "gosden and Stay deserve a chance to have a round on the IOW by gum chaps they travel a bit don't you know", which may have meant you got it. Then having procduced a good trial, I have seen it, and a superb and liked by all the only schoolboy indoor its carried on as a fixture on the calendar.
My guess now is that had you applied you would have one less round to return from.
I am sympathetic as having lived in the south all my life pretty much the journey south can be torturous at times, and then you have 200 miles more than me.
There is no answer to it as when they are adults as now very few southern clubs apply to host any championships, untill maybe 2014 when I hear they may well be a great event on the IOW?
Perhaps if you could drop a round or two that would help? I am thinking a point raised at the forum, this can be done by e mail and post unless I'm mistaken, may have helped you difficulties?

...or you could be just riding slowly round your practice area and its just a bit rich from riding style. Does it look like this after a good blast up the road?
-
Surely much more of an issue is minders?
If they have them without bikes then the courses shuld be reasonably compact, heaven forbid if someone has a heart attack trying to chase little johnny no dabs round how much would that cost the ACU/Club?
-
I assume you will be attending the ACU forum to raise these points.
I suppose having a round in your "back garden" compensates a little but it will always be the case if you live in the most southerly part of the country, surely?
Bracken rocks twice is wrong. Cheadle I have heard is pants on several occasions but you should always be grateful for pants trials, don't you know.

Can think of an easier way to describe her; fat bird

The origin was as you rightly state are between the two towns but this is in MK close to the A5D.
http://www.multimap.com/maps/#map=52.01039...052:17|Auckland park|Auckland Park, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England, MK1 1
if you select the birds eye view you can see the area a bit more clearly
its got two tabs off the bond ave/marlboro st Mount farm roudabout right next to the A5 and the Grand union canal.
Nothings set in stone yet but club membership with practice supplement gives access.

Here is our secretary who has worked hard to bring this to fruition.

After a long long struggle through the local bureaucracy and other seemingly endless hoops the Milton Buzzard MCC has fianally got the ground promised to them. This facility is purpose built and would be leased long term for the use of trials riders exclusively. Centrally located it is hoped that the planting and grassing will allow riding in a few months time.
take a look! Just shows lower part of site.

Would you like the toilet details as well?
-
what is described above by john collins is much simpler and the easy way to do it. He has worked on Bultacos for 40 years so knows his stuff with this make.
-
I used to be as slim as Perce but I have let myself go recently.
Maybe I'm not the ideal bmi.

Switching from 4rt to evo takes a while but I think it won't be long before the 2t evo or whatever you feel better on. Pop over to me if you want a longer go on a 290?
-
Think an apology is due stayer!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I ve been told they have problems with it and it might not be ready.
-
Alexz had an injury when he was on the TRW montesa, surgery was necessary. You can't blame the bike solely.
-
It will be fine I'm sure and a ti exhaust would look nice and wouldn't affect power too much I'm sure, but is the exhaust port the same size and position as 250/290?
mail me if you want to try the 290.
I couldn't get on with the rev 3 but the evo feels natural to me, so sure they are different

If your lad is starting out fit a flywheel weight they transform the motor to ty proportions, magic.
-
Absolutely, last year at the french four day it was the best at the tracks inbetween sections, and from what I know and peeps have said its a demon on the long roadwork sections in scotland.
However it rained in France and it was then a millstone. Or two.
