4.5" trials, it used to be the only size and I've stuck with it. So if it was 1" higher I would need 3.5", with the bend of renthal trials?
-
Its not that alan at all, I have ridden with renthals for 20 years and its what I'm used to, fly MX bars are not close enough.
-
None are an exact match for standard renthals though?
-
Yep that was the problem with the scorpa yoke they are lower, therefore required a 10mm spacer.
-
Apico make clamps that fit the Sherco.

-
Should be a few 05 4rt's going cheap at appleyards then
-
-
Didn't know anyone still used Pirellis.
-
Are you seriously suggesting that the 06 will be stock in a couple of weeks when the 05 is still there?
-
Never have used anything but bolts in the back gaurd and as yet never broken one. Don't like the way they wobble with ties, kinda think it depends how often you trow the bike away, I must admit i bail out early and catch the bike as much as poss.
Stick with the white tube if you can, if the bike is getting away from you in first it may be worth a try.
-
....and then theres the small matter of getting an entry
-
Yep a good mag seen acouple of those too.
-
Seems like you have the right bike for you, grunt is there on 2 strokes and spin is directly rlated to throttle control, I doubt that the result of spin or grip cpuld not be adjusted by detuning the 2t.
-
Bikespace is pretty much spot on except for personally I use tqf and the clutch doesn't always stick, change every 6 trials the same, longer you leave it more it sticks
I use ipone fully synthetic at 75 to 1 with optimax or ultimate. I don't scream the motor much though!
Any kind of silicone sealant up under the rear mudguard to stop the water getting through there.Absolute must.
Never start your bike after you wash it. Get the airbox off, and preferably the carb - when you get used to it it's a 10-15 minute job and well worth it.
Check your pilot jet is a 33 and the floats are set at 18.5 take the banjo filter off it always has something in there. I always copper slip all the bolts which prevents seizures might be worth checking the fork clamps and caliper ones.Set the sag on the rear spring. Try to use a chain with a half link if the 02 needs it. I always wash my chain and then after drying it lube it up, don't like the wd 40 idea.
-
No significant difference in any make they are all 4 x18 and made of the same stuff, rubber.
If you went tubeless you would save tube and 2 security bolts, thats alot of titanium swapping to achieve that weight saving.
-
I understand that J D is on holiday currently which is possibly why there is a slightly less perfect paper last 2 weeks?
I don't know who this side of the Atlantic has seen copies of Trials competition the American equivalent but that has some really good stuff, technical riding tips and my favorite "alien Autopsy".
-
It will be DL's choice I suppose on what bike DL will be riding next year, 2 stroke/ 4 stroke, do you think DL will know what is best for DL ?
Dougs choice may not be his if he isn't offered the Montesa?
Lets not forget he has been around the block and just like the premiership footballers do a year or so in japan or USA in the twilight years Doug should not be criticised if he chooses
-
If its the weight for the italjet easyiest weight saver is to go tubeless.
-
Kehin appears on most of the works bikes.
-
my mistake hadn't seen this as I was on holiday, and didn't recall anything in TMX, would want Dabill as my reserve rider over colley thiugh.
-
I may be putting words in John Collins mouth but he was of the opinion I think that if Dan Thorpe or jarvis fancy a novagar then it would be fine but they should stay the right side of a couple of marks.
The standard of sections is just too hard and dual routes without alot of work and thought don't produce good trials.
-
Is it still the 4 riders if so who should they be?
Doug and Grimbo pick themselves but who else from Dabill connor colley Morris?
-
I don't think Doug will "leave" montesa, if the offer is right he will stay.
Dabill has got a few years yet, Brown needs to take the Juniors next year too if he's going to make it. These two have some big opposition in Bou and Fajardo age wise.
