  1. Of course it doesnt but do you know more than Kev Hipwell and others? My settings are taken from advice from an ace mechanic/tuner (7world champs) and practical experience of a change from 3.5 to 3 which on a 250 is more crucial, not sure why but is.
  2. strange application if the case in a trials motor?
  3. see the instagram posts all back to normal.
  4. after a 2006 bike any new or nearly new would feel great?
  5. Lift it up on clip. All GGUK use jjh. 45 pilot is better? 3,0 is best. have you set float height?
  6. so what were the two holes in the 199b 340 pistons for then?
  7. 2 things never start a bike after pressure washing never run a bike particularily a 2 t till fuel runs out
  8. so on a 2 lapper you do that?
  9. Surely with the motor now 18 years old that would be the first thing or at least a diaphragm clutch that works at the top level?
  10. back to the start you pressure washed it THEN started it till bowl was dry?
  11. they turn in together lh and rh thread (you know) so maybe by half starting you can get it in. It may need forcing away to get enough space, if its really not going then a small bend might do it, which will pull straight. Always maintain your wheels to avoid this. I get mine trued and tensioned evry 6 months or so. A broken spoke is 99% down to lack of service. Get a wheel builder to put it in and true up. If the bike is 3 years old this is overdue and would could stop more breaking. Soak in wd 40 a few days before
  12. ive got a 330, why do you need dims
  13. ok but in a 2 lap trial i wanted to do the bit i didnt so whistle or not id still be in section.

  17. Disagree mark I have cited 2 reasons why its the preferred method. I always did this on my shercos, done 4 with complete sucess, method was shown to me by ace mechanic and tuner who has helped riders win two world championships in seperate disciplines of motorcycling, so imho the best way!

    Beta 240

Anyone know a good source of spares for these bikes?
  19. my method works and has the correct size of spring to start with.
  20. delay do them, think ryp have their products?
  21. Best way and ive done this several times, run the spring up and down a grinding wheel, removing a bit of the thickness, if you apply a little pressure it winds itself in and removes a consistent amount. It can be done in stages and also you maintain the closed coils top and bottom. @mbeers6
