  1. Make sure all jets are clear and clean, the banjo is spotless and the float height is 18 .5 then a new plug. If it still does it its some thing else other than carb. Youve got it fully turned on the tap as these are always awkward.
  2. show a picture of the route it takes maybe with tank off then it would be easy to see the problem
  3. so my explaination isnt clear enough @model80 ?
  4. snorkels are obvious really short one at the back holes point to middle if i remeber.if they are cut on top they fit together like a jigsaw, so its straight forward .
  5. Is it? Says who?
  6. I'm assuming someone other than you WAS there?
  7. rubbish, its much more to do h0w abikes been looked after when its ten years old.
  8. remind us when you were there last?
  9. Name names derek @laird387a@laird387 this innuendo isnt helping.
  10. @laird387a Derek, im not famous i just help out here and there, rather not be measured by what I have or havent done...... Not sure a general critisism is either helpful or justifed. I wouldnt have thought the large numbers of rmc guys who help with the scott were inexperienced but having ridden round with them over the last ten years or so what would I know? When were you last at the scott?
  11. @hgas Honda were not paying him afaik. Fredo was offered a bike (maybe Laias) and a bit of travel allowance and a few euros per month to do the world champs but nothing really other than pocket money. He took the decision that it simply wasnt worth it (pretty sure the family felt they had paid his way enough by then), so ended up where he is now. A good rider but looked "untidy" and never in total control to me, and like far too many juniors disappeared too quickly. I think the current situation may help some stay but only time will tell.
  12. Is that a critisism of the hard working RMC clubman?
  13. Goats if im not mistaken?
  14. Simons a*** too and ken wallis
  15. I would practice the section too slow. Do it so the bike stalls and then slightly faster and so on till it rides and leave the clutch alone as much as possible. 4rt and 2t different techniques, as sunt says
  16. Bou was already a star, his potential had been obvious to many but the move from an Italian team to the most professional in the world with agruably the most works bike in Catalunya tipped him to the top. I doubt hrc would worry about Gomez and she would be wary after the way they treated her brother, and as a track record they would want Emma Bristow anyway.....
  17. Thats jordi pasquet's job isnt it?
  18. Without a doubt its technique, I dont know why but it is. Faster the better. Mine starts first or second kick 95% of the time and always first or second when cold with choke. Never move to tdc just kick hard and fast so yes up on pegs is good. What year bike is it?
  19. I wouldnt use a slow tube.
  20. nigel dabster replied to imexian's topic in Gas Gas
My vans on euro 6 so i cant see e4 being that, regardless if they bring one bike out a year what diference does it make when (excludes racing models)
  21. There must be some middle ground BUT the fact that Bou trains on man made sections in Naturalandia (andorra) when there is some fantastic natural sections all around there within 5 mins says it all.
  22. I went to tong once and i probably wont go back, free or not. But there must be some visionary authority (like Bangor) or a more suitable venue somewhere......
  23. ..but it does, its all part of the "circus" and that genie will probably never go back in the bottle. However in all the events I've been to in Italy Spain Portugal France Poland Andorra Luxembourg Belgium (Spa possibly my favourite) and Majorca has the access ever been a problem. It isnt a case of what you think is entertainment (or I) its a fact of the situation rather than anyone making mistakes. I absolutely agree there are gazillions of places that are absolutely suitable for a world round but Im guessing that these would never be sanctioned either by any local authority or any way pass any cities health and saftey or insurane requirements, or alternatively they are too remote to access. That is always assuming that a club or the ACU would be willing to take the risk that the venture could lose thousands, and I do know of one club that have looked at this but baulked at the set up costs, which may be the reason we nearly lost Tong, but I dont know about that. Im guessing now your initial comments didnt apply to reality.
  24. As stated above all pivots need to be 100% and the thing held on while you pinch it up. In the end its an old bultaco and as vesty said (sic) i dont worry too much about brakes. have you seen his cutaways?
