Well done. I notice a bulge in the rim tape(?) if so, put the tyre back on and leave 60 psi for a few days and it will flatten out nicely!
-
So someone hears a rumour in America about a european bike but no one here knows anything? If that aint fake news I'm Donald Trump.
-
have you done back to back comparisons with the original amal as my 242 runs sweet as a nut with stock carb?
-
I wouldnt want to hold Vazquez as some of god, the bikes are good but they do nothing that cant be done in England.
-
and compared to a gasser?
-
Paxau is an excellent mechanic.
Future bikes are much better.
-
sorry, what i shouldve said is set up your trials clutch so that it works well enough as to get anything any better involves a fair bit of workshop time. Anything you want to do can be done with engineering but youd better spending this time riding a trials bike.
Having saig that ive got the kx plates ready for install.
-
we've been here before. Grip is lost with a tube in.
-
if the design were any good gas gas when they couldve wouldve.
No one is gonna make it or buy it - suck it up

I love you @feetupfun I'm glad someone could explain, I cba. The schools in somerset are obviously not as good as the ones in Aus. As for the few out there that were run in the past by the catholic church for orphans best not mention that perhaps.....
-
Its an easy enough job to fit a rim tape and get it to seal if you learn the technique.
Big disadvantage with dadies idea is theres too much risk that in a trial the rim will leak and doesnt allow any spoke adjustment going forward.
-
Sorry glen but dont get the reasoning here at all? Surely a bit of fuel evapourates soon enough but emmissions are coming out all day long?
-
Efi at the low revs which us clubman ride is the difficulty which has not been completely solved, hence why trs and gg and beta sherco all persist with carbs?
-
-
Really? Do they have pigs in Somerset?
-
he has a new mont and thinking of changing, that so unlikely to get a 315.
Gas gas for u taff.
-
if you're a novice just try to get all the basics right before moving onwards and upwards, the double blip is all you'll need right now, that should get you up 4 ft no worries. More imprtant is balance and throttle control position on bike and so on. Is your bike 100% perfectly set up does the suspension and brakes work as they should? have the bars and levers been set up etc.
-
Ive got it in the back of my mind the prototype bigger bore bike was 405cc?
Wasnt ritchie sunter a rider for them too
-
A degree of marketing? What like if this pig can fly youll need a 1/4r of a ford pop for trials?

So not only can @andy sort out true love and a romantic ending it looks like TC can sort a mid life crisis/ new start that @axulsuv contemplating!
Good luck!
-
ordered a set to try,£10!!!!

Clutch is easier because there are less springs, it doesnt slip under reasnoble load in 5th/6th?
Pressure plate should pull out straight, if this is achieved lever action should be lighter, altough not sure you'd get that with 3 springs.
Well done for doing it though food for thought......

Why would a side valve engine be cheaper to produce than a mass market engine already in production and with proven reliability and performance, particularily as you say people dont buy what they need.
So why would average joe buy a less powerful poorly accelerating, possibly unreliable side valve, and which manufacturer would even chance it?
Another idea confined to " @dadof2 silly theories"
