Even at a club trial, we watch what happens/is forecasted and its quite accurate nowadays. In belgium in particular i saw 3 sections where a slightly bigger loop and no one would have needed to stop hop and flick to get lined up, easy change no counting to 3. I blame pasquet for not saying whats a no stop event and getting some changes. Why isnt Thierry there on th monday helping marking out?

Fort william is too far for most and from its one and only appearence i would guess uneconomical. As the Belgian round was paddocked in a street and the relaxing of road closure legislation there must be options opening up more centrallly located?

I think gratterolla being given a 5 is fair when you consider what he gets away with in italy. What the italian and french observers have got down to a fine art is the borderline decisions go their riders way and vice versa. it would be much better to show the british observers this as much as any training in whats right and wrong.

be careful not to make it too strong especially on later models as its better to replace the end bit than the bit before!

2' 6" is not so bad, but the technique up to 4' is probably the same. Try this, flat area steady throttle a bit above a slow walking pace. same thing with a 1 foot drop then a bit more then 2 foot and so on. if you keep a steady throttle even though the front is in "mid air" it shouldnt drop. if it drops increase speed slightly or move weight back sort of bum on rear fender so front doesnt drop, too much too quick. as with all these things set the obstacle that s giving you problems/worries but start small. does that make sense?

There were some with and some without think that 3000 frame numbers onwards had them mostly. IMHO much better than the steel ones, 3 point fixing. the frames bent with the steel ones rarely with the ally but they have to be ridden hard to cause deflection.
