Can't remember the actual lengths but when we measured a Sherco '05 next to a Beta Rev 3 '05 the Sherco was 35mm longer.

Hope we should be OK. Where we stayed in St. Louis they had 124 murders so far this year, as we tucked ourselves into bed in Harvey the RV at the Wal*Mart car park.

We will be in Texas tomorrow, what are the parking inspectors like there?

We where down at Key West the other day, which is not a place to park a RV. We finally found that we could park in the Navy area, but it was not shown on any tourist maps. Whilst walking around I saw a Sticker Licker about to ping a car so I walked over and started talking to her about parking an RV and saved the other driver a ticket as he turned up before she had a chance to issue the ticket. We have to stick together and beat them when we can.

Saw this Trials house in Newport, Rhode Island today. Not sure what the back yard is like but the front yard is a killer.

One of my daughters is taking part in a model competition. There is a part where people can vote online for the models. I have been asked to ask all my friends on here if they would visit the site and give her a top score. Click here to vote for Kira. Click on the yellow score bar then select the 5.

That brings back some memories. Sean Carlin is an old friend and we where away on holiday with a group over at Port Lincoln when Sean was talked into entering the Tuna Tossing. Sean is a big bloke around 6'6" to 6'8". Used to drive a Subaru and looked out the rear side window when he wanted to change lanes.

I'm still here. We are now in Ontario having crossed over from the USA at Niagara Falls. We are heading up to Toronto this morning. We spent last night on the shore of Lake Ontario in a public park. It was nice to wake up to the view of the sunrise over the lake. Marilyn took a bunch of pictures of the sunrise. Not sure if overnight stays are allowed but no one hassled us. Following on from here we are heading east in Canada then when we run out of road we will turn right and head south for the winter.

Yes boys and girls we did spend some (too much) time in the dining rooms on the ship. Marilyn now has me on a diet to reduce me back to my slim body that you all know and love. We are now at Jasper in the Canadian Rockies. At N 52.87740 W 118.08360 for those playing along at home. Since being removed from the ship (no one wanted to leave) we have been on the road doing some walking and sightseeing. The next week will be spent around here and heading along the Icefields Parkway to Banff and then back into the USA.

Last weekend we stayed at Ishy's house. I went to the local trail with him and his lads Trevor and Brian whilst Marilyn went shopping. Whilst at the trial I even managed to ride the Sherdako or Sudoku and it survived. Thanks Jay. Thanks to John and Lisa for allowing us to park Harvey the RV on your front yard for a couple of days and looking after us. We are at Seattle now and will be driving up to Vancouver in a few days. From there we will fly to Anchorage and the board a ship to sail back down the Alaskan coast and the Inside Passage. Cheers' Peter

We are at Redding today. We were going to drive the 299 but a quick look at the map we have reprogrammed Thomas (Tom Tom GPS) with going down the A16 and join the 36 and drive the coast on the 101. This message was brought to you by Redding Subway who have free internet.

Yes PA and MA are in da house. We are in San Faransisco today and are heading up to Yosemite NP and Lake Tahoe on Friday for a few days. From there we will be heading back to the coast and then making our northerly push onto Vancouver. If anyone has some tips for Yosemite or Lake Tahoe in a RV let me know. If anyone has Skype you can call us, our Skype user name is peter.marilyn.arnold and we are on in the evenings if we have WIFI access.

  25. I will be looking for a location to park the RV for a week near Vancouver from 8th August to 16th whilst we take a cruise from Anchorage back to Vancouver. Hope to make the trial on the 2/3 August and possibly the 3 day after the cruise too.
