  1. Most of the guys riding have not ridden much for the last few years. Doubt that the casual Sidecar teams would like to tackle the Aussies.
  2. On 28th June we held the annual Peter Sparkes Sidecar Trophy Day. We had 11 Sidecars which would have been the largest gathering of sidecars in 20 years in Australia. There a number of Video's uploaded on You Tube.
  3. Take a look at the day Comedian Ross Noble spent with his all time hero Dougie Lampkin. 5th Gear Video Link And an interview with Dougie too. Dougie Interview Link
  4. The last of those Video's I made some years ago. I am riding that outfit on Sunday at the Peter Sparkes Sidecar Trophy Day and we have 10 sidecars entered so far.
  5. I have found that Novogar and Gaerne to be size for size.
  6. Try putting in some new pads or swap them with the front ones and see how that goes.

    Rev 3 Plastics

I think you will find that bike is a 2007. 2007 and 2008 rear plastics are not interchangeable with previous years as a new frame was used. 2003 to 2006 are all interchangeable. To fit 2003-2006 plastics to a 2000 to 2002 you need to change a number of parts with the airbox and brackets.

  12. The jumper settings on the new hard drive by default would be set to master or as a single drive. You will need to alter these for the drive to accept it must be a slave for you. (I needed to do this for my wife.)

    Rev 3 Over Revving

    Air Screw should be adjusted.
  14. We visited WalMart and bought a prepaid phone. The phone was less than $10 and then used recharge when the funds ran low. They have several different carriers to select from. I should add we used Skype on the Laptop to talk to the kids back home when we there.
  15. I have a Brand New right hand fork tube for a 4RT. There is a small dent just below the top triple clamp but will not affect the operation at all. If anyone is interested drop me a line.
  16. Subject: Fw: Why men should write advice columns ... Dear Terry, I hope you can help me. The other day, I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV. I hadn't driven more than a mile down the road when the engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbour's daughter. I am 32, my husband is 34, and the neighbour's daughter is 19. We have been married for ten years. When I confronted him, he broke down and admitted that they had been having an affair for the past six months. I told him to stop or I would leave him. He was made redundant six months ago and he says he has been feeling increasingly depressed and worthless. I love him very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he has become increasingly distant. He won't go to counselling and I'm afraid I can't get through to him anymore. Can you please help? Sincerely, Sheila Dear Sheila, A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is fuel and no debris in the fuel line. If it is clear, check the vacuum pipes and hoses on the intake manifold and also check all grounding wires. If none of these approaches solves the problem, it could be that the fuel pump itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the injectors. I hope this helps, Terry

    Who Saw Lane?

How are things in Boulder Creek? No speeding fines turn up in the post for me? Harvey has gone now and moved onto a new home, hope they are happy with him as we were. Thanks for looking after our mail etc while we toured the USA. The USA section is quiet now, used to be the busiest area. Miss reading all of Lanes "Treads".

    Car Sale

This is the owner, Florida Motorsports, and yes it is a scammer.
  19. Err, what about that 7 odd days per month that it can't be driven? And will you need to buy it flowers and chocolates to keep it running properly? I've been to both Renault and Ford dealers and I cant find one, but it's common knowledge that the Clitaurus is hard to find. Before anyone runs out and buys one I have to tell you about the used market of these things. Avoid one with multiple owners or high km as that can lead to loose fittings rather than the tightness you would usually expect. Any unusual smells from the bonnet should also be something to stay away from as that could indicate a poor service history
  20. Last year at the Glenmaggie Easter trial in Victoria (Australia) I saw a rider take a bath in a creek up to his neck, only from his shoulders down he was still dry. Helmet completely underwater, at least it was warm weather. My worst was breaking my leg whilst doing a trials demo. Teach me not to foot so hard.
  21. I was parked next to that Scoobie having my lunch watching that section at the time. I glad it didn't hit my car as I had borrowed my brothers van for the day.
  22. Here is a Video I took some time ago at a trial here in South Australia.
