We all know you love your Monty Ringo but showing us a picture of you doing your bike against a rock is a bit much.

The fridge will be on in the back of the car and you can be assured that after 3-4hours with two of MacBeth's witches in the car I'll be more than ready for beer! Is the fridge to stop the beer getting too cold? Thought you only had your beer at room temp. We use a fridge to make the beer cold Why is the code for the hl? Is it some way refering to Highland Lass? Said to my wife yesterday that there was a trial I wanted to ride yesterday but it was a bit far away. She asked where it was, as she knows I will drive 2000km on a weekend to do an event. I said Yorkshire. In England?, was her response. Yes dear I might have to wait a bit longer
  5. How about making all riders who have been excluded from the SSDT ride after the competitors so they generally would not be interferring with them. Or send some out first to settle the sections.

When you unzip the file make sure you tick Use folder names so it can create the sub-directory structure that it wants to or it will not work.

The thread is M8 1.25mm pitch. You could replace the standard bolts with Socket Head Cap bolts. The ones for the front of the bash plate are 25mm and the rear 15mm long.

The back of the mudguard is slapping against the rear of the front wheel. I fixed this by putting a pop rivet on each side of the front mudgaurd into the fork brace. This stopped the slapping at speed by putting a small amount of tension into the plastic.

You may have damaged threads in the frame. Try retapping them or getting Helicoils inserted.

    Q. Does being involved in the TdN make any difference to the normal club rider? A. No. Q. Why should a country who is not likely to be in the top few of A Group compete in the TdN? A. This is a bit more long winded. True most riders will never even attend the TdN let alone be selected for the team to represent their country in their chosen sport but don't so many young sports participants want the chance to represent their country? If you by not helping your countries team to compete at the World Teams Championships are you encouraging your young riders to switch to another avenue of the sport or to some other sport totally? So few riders do make it to team selection but so many young riders want the chance to be selected I believe we should do what we can to give them that opportunity. Be proud of your team, your riders, bask in their glory and encourage your youth to ride. Peter Arnold
  18. Time to come clean. I was delivering a new bike to a client. He had turned up early so I had not had time to run the bike yet. Anyway all the inside work done so we took it outside to start it up. Started second kick and the throttle open a bit it revved out quiet well. With that the bike took off from underneath me and straight into the side of his van. Fortunately no damaged to his van or the bike as I was close and it did not have much time to pickup speed. The bike I was unable to control the power on?
  19. Q. Why are Landrovers considered so environmentally friendly? A. Because they break down in the bush.
  20. Hey Ian how's your Trials Truck project going?

  22. Hi Ben, Sounds like Twin Shock mate. Elyse has made her video of the TdN trip from last year and needs Kale's address to send a copy to him. Could you email me his address to parnold@chariot.net.au so I can give it to her so she can send the video. She shot video of the European Championship trial in Valmalenco which Kale won and the TdN and I took the video of the Spanish world round. Elyse has done all the editing on the PC and added a soundtrack based on the music which played constantly in the car. Make sure you ask to have a look or get a copy from him. Peter Arnold
  23. I am sure my two bobs worth isn't worth the paper it isn't written on but. If the riders when nominating for the series had to pay up front for entry fees for all events they wanted to ride then the ACU could allocate places according to riders who would be supporting the series the most. Riders who have supported the series in the previous year(s) should be given a priority but you must make places available for up and coming riders to ensure the long term viability of the series. If it was expected that riders would nominate for the whole series even though they only intended to ride a few selected events then make the riders pay a deposit which is refunded based on the actual number of times they rode, miss 2 and forfit 20% of the payment. Oh, one final comment on the British Championships. GO ADRIAN! Aussie, Aussie, Aussie Oui, Oui, Oui Peter

  25. My wife informed me last night she needs the Trials Truck for easter so I will have to make other arrangements. I checked out our Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series and with the front wheels off the bikes they will fit in the back. It's either this or tow the trailer. The picture below is a Holden Cross 8. AWD V8 ute with optional tray lid. One of these wouldn't be bad but are a bit short in the tray so you would have to go with the tailgate down.
