  1. Step 1. Remove front number plate. Step 2. Remove rear number plate. Step 3. Remove vehicle. Step 4. Replace vehicle. Step 5. Reattach rear number plate to new vehicle. Step 6. Reattach front number plate to new vehicle. Light should now work. If this does not happen repeat using new vehicle.
  2. Toni would only be certain of a start in each round next year would be to finish in the top 3 this year indoors or top 2 outdoors excluding the riders who finished top 3 indoors. I would doubt that Toni even winning all rounds he is due to compete at this year (6 include Marseille) would accrue sufficient points to place top 3. This means he would have to finish top 5 outdoors (assuming the top 3 indoors placed in the top 5 outdoors themselves) to gain automatic entry in the 2007 indoor series. I wonder if they are singing Long Live the King at Sagsagville?
  3. We have our pins made at a Wire Works for around 40 cents each (around 15p) and use Surveyors Flagging tape to line the section as it very cheap and strong enough. It also is not too wide to catch too much wind and blow around much. Also Silicon or Blue Tack to stick the splits to rocks. On trees we use a staple gun to fix split markes when required.

  8. I know my riding style is very much like Dougie's and we do often get mistaken for each other but I can assure you he didn't. PS Dougie, I'll beat you next time.
  9. We are now well into the final month of Dougie's contract with HRC-Montesa and still no word as to who he will be riding for in 2006. So let's speculate on which bike you think Dougie will ride in 2006.
  10. Check out some of the other items bought by this person. Just legal. Suspect. Call me. Bad taste.
  11. Sorry Lane, I just re-read your original post and my response and realised that I misunderstood what you were suggesting. My apologies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep.... I do it all the time... Just like realising you are in neutral not second when you roll into a section.... Glad to hear it aint just me that does it!!!!!!! I don't want double points, I want half points, then I would be 50% more competetive in the next grade :santawink: Just waitin for the response from PA :santa1: feet up all BJDownunder <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Then you would average 2.5 points per section. :santa1: Didn't want to disappoint you BJ.
  12. Double points are already at the USA and Japan rounds. There is one event on Saturday and another on Sunday. The rider can pick up two lots of points from one trip.
  13. Thought this would be saomething about Perce.
  14. Someone once asked me how many people do I have working for me. I replied about half of them.
  15. Hi Alan, In the morning we set exercises for the riders to practice certain skills. This involves working in small groups with one of the coaches (we have 4 including myself). In the afternoon we set a number of sections which the riders can then practice. We try to set sections that will use those skills that have been focused on in the morning. The riders will ride them a number of times in one direction and then we will adjust the splits and ride them in reverse direction or at least on another line if reverse is not an option. A Coaching Trial sounded better than Coaching Day in my marketing mind. Peter
  16. A friend used to run a charter bus company and he had been hired by the Chinese Volly Ball team for a week. About 3 or 4 days into the charter he found out it was the girls team! They all looked like men.
  17. Lane, sorry to burst your bubble but the Swiss have the America's Cup. (Which is engraved The America Cup after the name of the first Yacht to win it.) The reason the land of OZ has not yet conducted a round of the World Trials Championship is simple, cost. The cost to conduct a World Round in Australia which could be dove tailed into the USA and Japan legs is beyond what a promotor could expect to recover. The Australia market is only around 140 bikes a year and as such the importers can not help much as they already support the local scene as you would expect. You would also have to question the volume of spectators that might turn up. Yes Australia conducts the best Moto GP, Superbike and Formula 1 events in the world but could we get the numbers to satisfy the sponsors? I have heard riders talk about getting the TdN here but it would be cheaper to hold a world round here as the riders have the support of sponsors and manufacturers to assist them in making the trip where a lot of TdN teams need to find most of the money themselves and organise new bikes for just one event. They could not afford to ship a new bike here then back to their home or send it back to the factory.
  18. The Gold colour was the original colour of the rims.
  19. The bike looks quite good in the pictures. The muffler has been changed which is not uncommon. Make sure the bikes not too loud. The front wheel has been changed, to fit a disk brake. I think it is a Honda front wheel. The rear wheel may has some corrosion on the inside. This is almost normal so the rear rim may need to be replaced at some time. Most people fit an Excel rim as these are good quality and can be easily sourced. The pictures are almost 2 years old so I would suggest you get some new pictures if you are unable to see the bike prior to purchase. Other than that the price seems very good, anything upto NZL$1200 I expect would be acceptable.
  20. Yes from the TdN in 03. I was going to buy you a beer too.
  21. The Beave has a point, he just missed the mark. Having followed this thread and read all the comments, remembering I have never been to any National in the USA and being in Australia I may also be missing the mark. Seven riders in the National Championship is not going to attract a lot of interest from Spectators and in turn Sponsors. People want to see action and that can not be provided by a small number of riders that you have contesting the Nationals. Point 1. Introducing a 125cc Class for the Youth Championship is a must if the USA want to get their riders to the top. Having your top young riders on 250cc plus at home then expecting them to compete in Europe on a 125 is going to limit their results and waste some of their training time in Europe whilst they learn to ride a 125. Point 2. Lane's plan included riders competing over an graduated easier course in the morning then stepping up to a higher level in the afternoon. (He stole this idea from the Women's World Championship, which works very well.) The bad point of Lane's plan which is the same as the World Championship is the riders who miss the "Cut" are forced to sit out the rest of the day. What if the sections for the morning are set to allow more riders to compete thus creating more interest in the Championship then in the afternoon the top group say 10 riders step up and then ride a harder line whilst the riders who missed the "Cut" still ride the same lines as they did in the first session. This would allow the spectators to see continual riding which is what they have come to see and give the best riders a higher challenge that they need to strive for. The top 10 riders making the "Cut" would take places 1 to 10 with the remainder of the field taking the placing's after them. This would allow all riders to compete the full trial an allow the best most capable riders to compete at a higher level to further improve themselves and give the up and coming riders the chance to participate at a prestigious event and gain the experience that will drive them onto becoming a top rider. Peter
