  1. Slapshot needs to wangle his leave again!!
  2. I think that this thread has run it's distance and with the response direct from John stops the endless hypothesis, analysis and random speculation, thanks John. I'm going to close this thread.
  3. From the outset of these threads you have been ADAMANT in your views however like the rest of us it's pure speculation, no point back tracking now.
  4. So why do you continually spout on that you know??? Deadwood does not have the permissions to delete posts other than his own
  5. Scott piccys online, anyone wants individual copies give me a shout by PM Shaws Gutter Surrender
  6. ...........As many times as people want to say it until such times as it's officially announced...END OF!! So unless you happen to be Doug Lampkin or Jake Miller or James Dabill or any other that might be involved in discussion or negotiations you are speculating the same as every one else. Beta Stators - well known problem I've a 02 thats still on it's original. Who makes Beta's stators because it wouldn't be cost effective to them to make there own. That's where the problem lies and yes maybe Beta should have changed them but if they buy a job lot they still have to use them. I suggest there is a similar issue with Carbs..... As others have said Doug and the top riders push these bikes harder and further than we ordinary blokes ever will, they fail, it's just unlucky that Doug's fail at the worst possible moments.....
  7. Duct tape......cheap bondage for decades
  8. Hiya, got one from the bottom of Shaws, not brilliant, not a great day too much water getting into cameras!! Surrender was worse, filter on my lens got so grotty I wasn't getting a clear focus or flash measure.....not happy. Anyway, won't get anything online till I get home, mother's wireless connection speed is garbage, this page has locked three times already!! Other than that it was a magical weekend, the reverse route was, in my opinion, better for spectators, more early groups to see all the riders through in good time. It also allowed movement to later groups in a far more civilised fashion okay it was busy around By Pass but not like the other way. The two rat runs back into Marske eased the traffic as well.....Big Success for me. Other than the cameras issues...own fault but there we go, it was brilliant. Even the weather can't dampen the excitement and tension The Scott can create, it really is superb. Every rider needs applause for their efforts no matter where they finished or didn't finish. Michael looked superbly quick all day and setting quickest time showed that but it's only half the show. Dibs had the speed but more than last year he appeared far more controlled in the sections and the results showed that, nice one! The auction and presentation were great as well and as always, nothing could really be predicted and based on last year when Graham nudged Dibs out the way on observation. Great night, great weekend......roll on 2011.
  9. Lurchio I suspect I'll have something from the bottom of Shaws Gutter but couldn't get the pics downloaded before dinner last night cos Mrs Slapshot was too busy on Treasure sodding Island!!! Heading home now (she's driving I've got a hangover) will let you know
  10. Thought the rule was to take the mickey out of Der Moffster!!
  11. Ham is obviously hoping his prophets will go through the roof.
  12. Problem is Neo is that there is limited information out there about the bikes therefore all we can do is speculate!!
  13. Bloody hell..... don't jinx things
  14. Mr Kramit...There has been something deleted already and additionally Borus has some form in terms of advertising on the forums as he well knows. Neutral question, perhaps but it could also be a leading question. Borus has a vested interest in anything that's said about any of the marques he imports either positive or negative so taking his history on here and he opens a thread about a new bike he's about to start importing rings a few alarm bells. Don't forget there's more happens on here than what you see. Clueless? I've been called worse, I can cope.
  15. Borus...... As the prospective/agreed importer of Ossa into Canada, please respect the rules regarding advertising on the forums. Any posts you make in the Ossa/Xpa threads could be deemed as advertising by some. We've been here before with Xipsa/Xpa, your posts will be watched.
  16. Unlike other manufacturers I think Ossa are doing what they can to move the boundaries of what we see as a trials bike. What huge steps forward have we seen since the 4RT, since Beta brought out the frame on the Zero since evolved through the Gara, Techno, Rev and now Evo ranges. Every manufacturer decelops their bikes every year in small iterative steps because to make a huge engineering step forward costs money and there is the fear they will not recoup that outlay. I want to wait and see what happens with Ossa before commenting.
  17. Didn't matter last time, same senario left Beta and went to Montesa. Anyway, who says Dibs is about to leave Gas Gas, if Doug is heading in the Gas Gas direction, you can be sure the priority will be the enduro side of things rather than Trials.
  18. Until such times as the man himself makes the announcement it's pure speculation. However at this time in his riding career Doug will have one main aim and that's to put as much in the bank as possible and who of any of us would deny him that right. As to who that's with, who has the best bank balance to offer him the best deal seemples!
  19. yeah yeah been here before..... Yawn!!!
  20. Yes i guess so but personally dbf it sounded like a bit of naming and shaming and seemed a bit unfair. I'll bet for every one disgruntled Gas Gas customer there are dozens of happy ones. The importers are making their crust from spares and after sales because they are trying to keep the cost of the bikes down, therefore they have to be doing things right! From my own perspective as a Beta rider, Lampkins are never anything less than brilliant and if on a very rare occasion, they don't happen to have what I need in stock (older bike) I have my own network of suppliers a lot of them of TC site sponsors to get what I need. I've never had to wait more than 36hrs to get the bits I need.
  21. I don't think it's fair to criticise any particular importer because I expect they all have their good and bad times however the back up is an important part of what you go with when you buy new bikes, whether that be the importer or your local dealer
  22. Beta.... wouldn't touch a Sherco with a bargepole and though the current crop of gassers appear pretty good I'd still go for a Beta. If they are better than last years it'll be pretty spectacular
  23. Did both tyres recently and the same thing needed huge pressures to get them to pop on properly, let most of the pressure out but left them at fairly high pressures overnight. they've been okay since
  24. News reporter must have a pair tucked in her bra......that pair looked perfectly balanced :rotfl:
