My eejit brother killed his gasser a few years back, went to clean it in a few inches of water...that was actually about 3 feet+ deep, him and bike disappeared....con riod, piston, replate bore....lots of bucks worth...tried really hard not to laugh

  5. Scottish humour....you southern boys must be real jealous, It's nice of Andy to share it with you...Merry Christmas
  6. Hi Don, Great choices ...if you have a limitless budget. Canon Lenses 10-22mm 3.5-4.5.....
  7. Andy...Is that the 70 - 200mm f2.8 lens.....might have an option on one, used but definatley not abused
  8. Don't think it really matters as long as you are filling the frame. Some of the superzooms are good value 28-200mm for example. Personally prefer smaller focal lengths but there are times where a longer focal length is better. From an earlier post the 17-85mm IS USM Canon has gone up in price, Jessops shops are selling at
  9. A registry is a great idea however I think it's something our respective centres, associations etc should look at, put frame numbers/engine numbers with your licence application or something like that, I know it's being pushed at the SACU by the Bon Accord club. Might be the best way for all the legal riders to register bikes.

This thread has now nearly 20,000 views...what can we add to get to 20,000....... tyres are nice and round....
  14. That's what happens as you get older With mine open the petrol tap, open the choke, snick it into gear rock it back and fore to check the clutch is free, then a good hard prod on the kickstart no throttle, first or second kick every time, leave choke on for 10 sec switch it off and warm it up gently. Lots of folks seem to have problems starting them. I think I've been really lucky with mine though not had any major problems that couldn't be sorted quickly. Cheers Slapshot
  15. Big question of course, If a four banger Gasser is on the way.....Will it's discussion thread be as long as the Beta's? Suppose Shirty and John Lampkin could have a mines is bigger than yours discussion after that
  16. Weather forecasts for 2 weeks, how long does it take to move a couple o flags, THEES A NUTTER! See if they get tomorrows weather right ! Test sections ? How much time have folk got, how much availability of the land? WAKE UP PLEASE All this chat about the weather and my name hasn't been mentioned...thanks boys I normally get the blame for cr@p weather on here However, anyone who places any real credence on a ten day or longer forecast is mental...sorry Old trials fanatic. I can give you a list of about 30 sites who put long range site specific forecasts on display, they are all rubbish, Ours UK Forecasts (not for sale , general issue) is basically a general forecast, it is completely non specific. We do sell long range forecasts out to 10 days+ but the clients who buy them and use them know the terms they are sold under and will also use shorter range forecasts 2 to 5 days, but weather being what it is, you can always go wrong.......
  17. Watcha Perce, My pal has had the same problems since she switched to the Orange service. E mail gone to cr@p problems with virus checkers not working you name it. She had already signed up to the contract so is kinda snookered until it runs out. She will be changing rather quickly I think.. hope that helps donald

  22. I know Kitch is a Nikon man, don't ask me what he's playing with at the moment. Don't know Barry Robinson I'm afraid
  23. Some of Sergio's stuff is okay, (don't tell him I prefer Andy's stuff). I haven't really had much chance to shoot much yet, only had the camera a few weeks (been savin up) all I've done so far is landscapes and arty stuff, once I can get to a trial I've about 10,000 old photo's to compare the quality with.... The Link is a great website for Canon information, lenses flashguns you name it.... I'll use fill in flash at trials though you can always play with dark shots on photoshop.
  24. Hi, I use Canon 30D SLR...bse lens is the 17-85mm IS USM Canon lens, well worth the cash if you can get one.
  25. More Money? I also beleive that Dibs' new team are "supplied" by the factory......let's face it Diego Bosis is no mug and I doubt he'd lend himself to something that wasn't top shelf. Go back and have a good read at the article boys, it explains a affy lot
