Is there a brand that will grip onto wet wood. I struggle to get ANY grip on wet slimy up ended trees. I also run Vee Rubbers...not by choice, just happened to be on the bike when I bought it, with tons of tread left.

Can you put a stiffer spring on the slide in the carb, just so you have to intentionally wind the throttle, rather than accidentally. I would imagine it's quite un nerving to have to be very careful on the throttle, for fear of flipping the beast...could restrict progress !

You'd be better off with a Scorpa 250...Im feeling generous so I will swap you for my 03...I don't even want any cash to sweeten the deal ! Seriously though.......... Sherco 290 + beginner = trouble.

Is it when you ride it or just when your sat on it or moving it... My scorpa creaks a bit, but it's just the rear brake pads in contact with the disc. Only does it when barely moving the bike around...ie. putting fuel in, or checking things over.

While Im on the subject, what's the best air filter......I have found 3 so far Putoline, Jitsie, and Twin-air. Think they're all pre-oiled, but remember reading about the amount of oil needed, and was wondering if pre-oiled was the right way to go ? Also....is it me or do air filters seem to have gone up quickly from about a tenner to
