  1. Shouldn't rock forwards and backwards much, just side to side. The spacers wear and need replacing....they're cheap though !
  2. As far as the knock goes, I know the monts have a knock if using regular unleaded.....not sure about the Betas though.
  3. Can't believe the legend that is Guy Martin had a pretty nasty "off", (bruised lungs and a couple of fractures to his spine) and then Conner Cummings at Veranda. Hope they're both alright !!!!! I'm having this brew for you !
  4. So it's eggshell, or satin..... maybe. Not sure how much the pots are, but might be cheap enough to buy a couple, just thought...why not try poster paints, I'm sure there's an enamel type.
  5. you can get touch up paint made especially for touching up powder coating, we use it at work quite regularly. Where abouts are you, the paint shop I use is P&M panels in Warrington, tel - 01925 415661. As long as you know the colour, you're fine ! And they'll probs deliver !
  6. Just found this, the unveilling of the latest model 4rt What do you think ? I like it !
  7. I thought Birkett told me a plain one was about
  8. Any ideas on the bleed screw (s) I've put them back together now anyway, but seem to have a strange almost crunchy noise coming from the left fork area...not sure if it was there before though. Doesn't sound wrong, just a noise...doesn't do it if I stand on the bike and bounce around a bit, only does it if I lean over the front wheel and really force it down hard, they're not bottoming out or anything. Which way up does the plastic spacer go in the left leg, one end has a metal insert, the other doesn't. Can't seem to download the parts list from Scorpa usa, not sure if the link is working or my pc going pear shaped ? I let the bike stand on the forks, then undone the bleed screw (left fork) then tightened back up again - is this wrong ? I dont want to blow a seal ! I know.......I'm doing a bit of mithering, but I promise I'll stop soon ! ( NOT ) Cheers.
  9. Tonight I decided to change the fork oil, and was astounded by what came out......right leg - 210 ml / left leg - 120 ml... hmmmn ? Also, the oil from the left leg was red, and felt slightly thicker than fork oil, I get the feeling it was ATF. Time for a stupid question, After pouring the oil in the legs, and then pumping them a bit, do I screw the caps back on when the forks are fully extended ? I noticed there is a bleed valve in the top of the left fork, but I can't see one on the right fork ? Can somebody just point me in the right direction please, as I've never done them before ! By the way...I decided to use Motul factory line 7.5wt. Cheers, Andy.
  10. Only ever done this for water pump gaskets, its quite easy, just annoying if you get to the end and screw it up.... Get a good craft knife, for the holes I always use a drill, just make sure its flat on a piece of timber.
  11. Loads of powder coaters, I regularly use these - Flare Powder Coaters, in Warrington, and Alchemy, in north Wales/Flint. Can supply numbers if needed. Rims can be masked up if needed, you can buy 3M masking tape for this application, just remember to tell the coaters, as they'll run the ovens a bit cooler !
  12. When I said I insist he was an excellent chancellor, I meant to say suggest, and when I said excellent, I meant to say diabolical !
  13. Take a look at the parts diagram and identify which gasket it is, it will be an easy job to replace ! Most likely is the casing gasket. Do a search on youtube, there may even be a video tutorial ( might be for a different bike but the methods are roughly the same ) Also, take a look on the Sherco website......Waynes help...... Gives a good idea of what's involved.
  14. At least the axe doesn't seem to have exclusions......like the Labour party axe that was aimed primarily at working man ! Also, regarding the economy, they seem to be addressing a problem that had been brushed under the carpet. I insist that Gordon Brown was an excellent Chancellor, pity he was a crap PM. Fasten yer seatbelts...we're in for a bumpy ride !!!
  15. Or - don't blame the player.....blame the game ? ha ha ha. I have a bit of a problem with the system.....My last home was burgled twice, and on both occasions I was told catergorically by forensics that there would be no chance of catching the low-life responsible ( even before she dusted for prints ). Funny that.....I was a welder at the time and guess what..........I caught him...<JUDGE JURY AND EXECUTIONER>...why didn't the police ? So, I moved house - which cost a lot of money. - there's the financial side. What cost more though is the fact that even though this happened about 8 yrs ago, my wife has only just started to feel safe. This whole episode has cost a lot of money, but an awful lot more emotionally....and as long as scars are not physical it doesn't matter does it !!!!! I was told by many that I couldn't serve my own justice, but I WILL do WHATEVER I can to remove a criminal from my property, should the need arise. Remember the guy that shot that gippo, and went to jail for it........where's the justice in that....... System is all wrong. So much time is spent chasing money that there's hardly any time left for chasing crooks ! Andy. PS. sorry Kenny !
  16. 5 minutes, he must of thought there was no tax on the car ! They pay attention when the crime is of a serious nature - ie - no tax, no mot, speeding, dui, no insurance, no license, no seatbelt..... Coincidentally, all of which are easy to hand out a fine for !
  17. Scorpa shock is quite long, can check centres later if needed.
  18. Even if you don't watch all the vid, watch the last 15 secs.... Clicky
  19. Always be very careful of argon in enclosed areas - it's a silent killer !!!
  20. PUT SOME PADDING ACROSS THE HANDLEBARS / CLAMP !!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Wow ! If that sketch is to scale, you need bigger wheels...ha ha ha. Take it to an engineering / sheetmetal workshop, they should be able to do something with it. As for protection, have a look in the Trials Central garage at Copemechs Sherco, PIPE GUARD.......He bolted a piece of aluminiun angle to the front of the bash plate, just under the exhaust, looks okay too ! Andy.
  22. Not good to reply to my own posts but here goes....... I had a look at the sherco website, superb. I feel let down now by scorpa for not having anything like this. Anyway, there's lots of good maintenance tips on there, that can easily be transferred across brands, even a section about replacing fork oil, and its got piccies to. Sherco, superb site !!!
