Hello all! After yet another stripdown, I had the chance to have a superb practice after work on Friday on my Italjet. Although it didn't break down, and always started well, I found that if I came down a hill with the throttle shut off, when I came to apply power, there was no response for a few seconds, then it picked up. I tried small throttle openings coming down the hill, but with the less than perfect brakes, that seemed a bit too scary!!! I wonder if anyone has experienced this sort of thing before? I have had awful trouble with air leaks, but this time I made new gaskets all round, and have fitted new crank oil seals etc. My money is on the carb (Dellorto PH…

Just reassembled my 240 pro yesterday with new double needle brgs. in the swingarm pivot, and can actualy see the stock marzocchi's flex upon compression !!!! It works 100% better with new brgs. but I need new shocks. Has anyone tried the new NJB trikshok W/ the spherical brgs in the eyelets instead of rubber bushings yet ! looks like the hot ticket to me !! Any info helpful Thanks Glenn

hi ive got a dilemer with my clutch what it is is that i start the bike up and then pull te clutch in and put it into gear and it pulls away without even letting the clutch out

Well, I dropped off my NOS RL 250 swingarm bushings with a friend to copy. I asked for a couple of sets in bronze and he asked if I also wanted any in aluminum....... never heard of this myself. Seems the bronze would be better for carry lubrication. Thoughts on this?

Hello all!! Been doing some work on my "spare" Italjet 350 (don't all throw oranges at me at once!!), and I was pleased to see it has a pair of brand new Betor shocks, with the air valve. The air valve is at the top (by the seat), but the Betor stickers are upside down. Does this mean they are on upside down, or does it not matter? Are there any other Italjet riders on the forum? Hi guys so far I used a lot of momentum and a CRF250 now I got myself a TLR200 Reflex '87 everything works not great, more redneck-mint, but the bike is ridable the engine seems healty, starts at 1st kick and puills strong but the stoppers sorry, I am used to some 'negative acceleration' when I pull the lever here I hear a 'clunk' but there is no real slowing down the rear end does not work much better I had both ends apart, the brake shoes looked to be in good condition, so I roughened the surface a little, cleaned the drums, lubed the pin, adjusted the cable/rod but did not achieve much improvement is there a trick to turn drum brakes into actual stoppers …

Just wondering if any of you guys could help me with a couple of problems with my 349 clutch ? I rebuilt the engine some time ago but the clutch has never been right, always drags even when warm. Tried different oils from TQF (dextron) to light gear oil that was for my TXT GG. The TQF made the clutch very snachy, like a on/off switch but still dragged The light gear oil smoothed the take off up but still it dragged. The second problem is that on occasion the clutch will slip when kicking the bike over. I can understand that the plates may be worn and that new ones may cure the slip but is there anything that can stop the drag.

I just took a very old front trials tyre off a recently acquired M49 Sherpa and thought it felt a bit heavy. It is a Firestone made in Spain with vee pattern blocks and is worn down to about 3mm block height. The worn out old Firestone weighs 4765 grams while the slightly worn 2003 tube-type Michelin that went onto the bike weighs 3506 grams. For non-metric people that is a weight difference of more than 2.5 pounds. I hate to think what an unworn Firestone would weigh. The sidewall of the Firestone has a little brag label saying "gum dipped" which I guess was a pretty cool thing at the time. I can't bear to throw it away as it is a terrific reminder of how much tyres …

Looking at Falcons available localy and saw some info on NJB expert? shocks, are they worth the effort or should I stick with what I know ? Thanks for any and all veiws... Glenn

I'm desperate for a crankshaft, ok if it needs a rebuild. Can anyone help? I'm told 350 MAR cranks are different - can anyone confirm/deny/tell me if it can stil be used? Cheers
