I have just finishing rebuilding an Armstrong 320 which I would like to register for road use. I've registered new bikes with certificate of newness but this can't work like that can it? It has been registered at some time in it's life but the documents are long since lost, anyone got any advice how to go about it? Will I have to go to have it inspected by DVLA? Any advice appreciated.

Does anyone recognise this airboot? My guess is that it is the same or similar to one from a Montesa twinshock. A customer asked me if I could replicate it. But it is split around the folds and will be very fidly (= expensive) to remake. I suspect that there would be a bettter one around if we can work out what it is. Someone might have even already have replica made. Thanks for you help

Ive got a 320 majesty, the engine has recently been rebuilt so everything that matters is new, this work was carried out by someone who knows what they are doing. It has got the electronic ignition that craig mawlem sells. I have opened up the standard TY air box by removing the seat for the origional filter that restricts the air flow and fitted a TY mono filter to the top of the air box. It has a WES exhaust and a standard TY 250 Mikuni carb with larger jets, but after all this Im still having problems getting it set up to run ok. Its great in the sections but as soon as you get it out into the open fields and try to open it up it starts to pink and knock. The only thi…

I was sent his link to probably the finest twinshock video footage i've seen in years. It's of fantic's, Bultacos and swms at the italian world round and the fantic factory . It really captures the 70's feeling and has some cool riding and a mean looking section. Slightly off topic but i'm sure you guys will like it.It takes a bit to download but well worth the wait. Go to http://www.fanticmotorlegend.it and then FANTIC PAGES .....then videos and then click on the trials links

Why did Bultaco and Montesa go under ...Was it the Fantic 200??. I know that Mr Ignato Bulto set up Merlin so his enthusiasm was still there. I know that Spanish companies get big tax breaks for the first 2 years, keeping Mecatecno afloat. A lot of these companies were set up by enthusiasts and not business men. Maybe thats got something to do with it?. Anyone know?.

I recently got myself a TLR200, not a bad bike but the drum brakes are appalling. I swear I actually gain speed when I apply them! I've ceaned them all out, put new shoes in, fiddled in the garage for hours but still no joy - thank god its got some great engine braking! I suspect a new front cable may help, what is a good make? Do you know of a TLS drum that may fit the front? Anybody got any tips ...... Please. I'm not expecting to do front wheel wheelies, but to stop would be nice . Regards, Bill.
