What a fantastic trial! the sections were superb, they wer'nt over the top at all, just right. How many trials can you ride like that in the year, 40 sections 1 lap all off road, at a venue like that? Brilliant! And a huge turnout aswell. Thanks to the Llanfyllin club for a well organised fantastic trial. Back again next year!!

Having just emptied the van after a fine days trialing in Rosedale, it occured to me after reviewing the results board that there were a number of non starters for this hard to get in/reduced field event. Who and where are these people, I've got mates that did'nt get a ride who would have gladly passed over a days shopping with the wife at Teeside Park, if only they had let Keith know in time. Anyway, fantastic day out, really tough sections and the water levels were absurd at Rockhouse!!!! Thoughts anyone ?

The first round of the trail bike championship has been cancelled due to venue problems. The secretary of the event, Steve Venn has just informed me that the Barrett Trail bike trial will not go ahead. The trial, which was due to run next Sunday starting from the Royal Oak near Gretton, has been dtopped due to land problems. Any trail bike riders who have entered, should contact Steve for either a refund or to transfer their entry to the Spinx LDT which the Cheltenham Home Guard club run as a 'stand alone' LDT later in the year. Sorry for the bad news. Pete

Peak Classic Trials Club held round 1 of their 2008 Club Championship at Burycliffe Quarry near Matlock Derbyshire on Sunday 17th Feb. A very cold start turned into a nice sunny day in the Peak National Park and 49 riders enjoyed an excellent days sport before retiring to the Miners Standard for the presentation of 2007 awards. As usual with this popular venue the sections consisted of rocks rocks and more rocks. Lovely ! Section 7 a twisting path over and around some big rocks was the decider in all classes but concentration was the key so as to keep loss of marks to a minimum as 1 dab could be disasterous. This was the first event for the new Club secretary Martin Boo…

Just wondering if there was any news on the Mid Wales Novogar on Sept 24th. It's a cracking trial with alot of top stream sections and also this year what with the Belgian World Round being cancelled and the Novogar championship so close it could get the entry it deserves. Thanks, Jamie
