UK Trials Talk

After hearing that the SACU were running a clubmans championship alongside the main championship I was looking forward to having a go at the series. Then I heard that if you had ever been graded expert you could not ride the clubmans championship. Is this right? As an over forty, downgraded, non expert would I be ineligible?

I am sure I read in the TMX calender that the Bemrose was on the 13th March this year. I haven't seen any regs for it yet though. Does anybody know when it is? I know that it is usually at the begining of September. Was it just a misprint in TMX. Cheers Dave

has anybody seen the regs for the Colin Dommit Trial on the 06/03 or the Bootle Classic trial on 20/03, I've looked in TMX which have regs up to April but didn't see anything for the Classic nationals Cheers Booma

Our lad rode is 4rt up to Keighley gate and watched the Y&G trial for a bit, he said they had an entry of 200 riders plus, and some usefull riders amongst them, any of you lads go, James L said he was having a good day 2 fives up to that point, one a stall, t'other I don't know but he said he had a steady day.

I have heard rumours of the SACU Centre of Excellence. But, what is it going to do and what "facilities" will it offer to Trials? I have asked other club members and they don't seem to know either. Maybe Big John can help on this one.

After attending the A.C.U. youth awards today can't help feeling that the trials riders realy don't matter to the A.C.U. The Ex road race presenter guest who none of the kid would realy know, didn't turn up untill after the awards had been handed out. But the BYMX lads had Steven Sword to give there awards out. Why could'nt the A.C.U. have got Colley or Javis to have given the trials awards out to the kids, as one of them must have been attending the evening adult awards dinner. Knowing the time and effort some of our young trials stars put into there sport, i think thay get a bum deal.

Evening all, Anyone in the UK now will know of the weather...those somewhere nice and warm can guess at our delightful weather of rain, quite formally know in the UK as 'p***ing it down'. I think everyone sort of missed the point, the original idea was for everyone to pick a rider and say why thay though that thay could be a future world champion but the topic sort of went in a different direction. So lets start again, pick a rider a fight his case, come on who gon'a win that world title for GB, and why.
